I moved to Germany 1991 and thanks to that decision I can German nowadays almost as fluent as my mother tongue Finnish. I had a great opportunity to improve my English knowledge with native speaking English and American citizens during my 3 year stay in the Middle East.

I have two vocational educations in the hotel and tourism branch as receptionist and travel consultant. I have also studied geography and environmental science at the university of Helsinki and the Humboldt university in Berlin.

After acquiering theoretical knowledges I gathered practical experience in various hotels, as a travel consultant and in projects of nature and landscape conservation. Since 2006 I work as a fulltime translator for German-Finnish-German and English-Finnish. Concerning the work as a translator reliability, dedication and delivering on time describe my principles at the best.

It is a pleasure to translate touristic material such as brochures, websites, newsletters and articles for magazines. But I certainly accept also texts of general character. My daily work consists of manuals for home electronics, kitchen appliances and product descriptions. I am also very interested in translating texts concerning environmental issues like sustainability, nature conservation and climate change.
