SDL International (Boulder, Colorado): Software Localization QA Test Engineer. Testing for German and English software packages releases for major corporations. Work involved scripted, ad-hoc, black box, localization, linguistic, and functional testing in close conjunction with local and remote QA engineering teams. Since January 2007, intense focus on test script analysis as well as documentation authoring.
Porsche Informatik (Salzburg, Austria): Translator/Software Localization QA Engineer. German to English translation and localization for Porsche-internal software releases. Work involved ad-hoc, white box, and linguistic localization in collaboration with software development team.
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (Munich, Germany): Research Assistant. Academic research in the fields of computational linguistics, Germanic linguistics, ESL and pedagogy/didactics. Work involved electronic and field data collection and analysis for self-authored studies, documentation authoring, and editing for academic journals. Presentation of work at conferences for computational linguistics at the University of Birmingham, England and at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (Munich, Germany): Language Curriculum Co-Director. Development of a multimedia language program for German university students. Funded and published by a European Union initiative for integrated language curriculum and instruction.
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (Munich, Germany): Multimedia Language Lab Aide. Responsible for installing, updating, maintaining and evaluating foreign language software used by the university. Work also included serving as an on-site tutor (including written and oral assessments) for English, German, French, and Latin. Integrated internship/work an online tutor for students enrolled in university English and German courses.
University of Victoria (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada): German Instructor. Instructor for three introductory German courses and one upper-level seminar on post-war German politics and culture (taught in German). Extensive curriculum authoring for all courses, including complete curriculum authoring and material development for the aforementioned seminar.
