After graduating from the Humboldt University in Berlin, I was accepted by the highly competitive PhD program in German Studies at the University of Michigan. I lived in Michigan for 8 years, teaching German language and literature.
I've been living in the UK since 2006, completing my DipTrans exam with the Institute of Linguists. My general paper was awarded Distinction and I received a Merit for my technology paper.
My specializations are medical and pharmaceutical translations and I am member of the European Medical Writers Association. This doesn't mean that my other interests (education, tourism, social sciences) get neglected and I frequently work with texts in these areas.
