GENERAL PROVISIONS
6.1 All notices, requests, demands and other communications hereunder shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given if delivered by hand or mailed postage prepaid to the addresses set out on page one of this Agreement or to such other address as may be given in writing by the parties and shall be deemed to have been received, if delivered by hand, on the date of delivery and if mailed as aforesaid to the addresses set out above then on the third business day following the posting thereof provided that if there shall be between the time of mailing and the actual receipt of the notice a mail strike, slowdown or other labour dispute which might affect the delivery of the notice by the mails, then the notice shall only be effective if actually delivered to the addresses set out above.
6.2 The headings and section references in this Agreement are for convenience of reference only and do not form a part of this Agreement and are not intended to interpret, define or limit the scope, extent or intent of this Agreement or any provision thereof.
6.3 Whenever the singular or masculine or neuter is used in this Agreement, the same shall be construed to mean the plural or feminine or body corporate where the context of this Agreement or the parties hereto so require.
6.4 In the event that any provision of this Agreement or any part thereof is invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby.
6.5 All sums of money to be paid or calculated pursuant to this Agreement shall be paid or calculated in currency of Canada unless otherwise expressly stated.
6.6 Time is hereby expressly made of the essence of this Agreement with respect to the performance by the parties of their respective obligations under this Agreement.
6.7 This Agreement shall enure to the benefit of and be binding upon the parties hereto and their respective heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors and permitted assigns.

ALLGEMEINE BESTIMMUNGEN
6.1 Alle Benachrichtigungen, Gesuche, Aufforderungen und sonstige Mitteilungen gemäß der vorliegenden Vereinbarung bedürfen der Schriftform und gelten als ordnungsgemäß erteilt, wenn sie persönlich übergeben oder per frankierter Post an die auf Seite eins der vorliegenden Vereinbarung oder an eine sonstige, schriftlich von den Parteien angegebene Adresse gesandt werden. Sie gelten im Falle einer persönlichen Übergabe am Tag dieser Übergabe als erhalten und im Falle der vorstehend erwähnten Postsendung an die oben angegebenen Adressen am dritten Geschäftstag nach ihrer Aufgabe bei der Post als erhalten. Dies gilt allerdings unter dem Vorbehalt, dass falls zwischen dem Zeitpunkt der Aufgabe bei der Post und dem tatsächlichen Erhalt der Benachrichtigung ein Poststreik, Bummelstreik oder ein sonstiger Arbeitskonflikt eintritt, der die Lieferung der Benachrichtigung durch die Post beeinträchtigen könnte, die Benachrichtigung erst bei der tatsächlichen Lieferung an die oben aufgeführten Adressen wirksam ist.
6.2 Die Überschriften und angegebenen Paragraphen in vorliegender Vereinbarung dienen nur der übersichtlicheren Gestaltung, bilden keinen Teil der Vereinbarung und sind nicht dazu bestimmt, den Geltungsbereich, Umfang oder die Absicht dieser Vereinbarung oder beliebiger ihrer Bestimmungen auszulegen, zu definieren oder einzuschränken.
6.3 Wird in vorliegender Vereinbarung der Singular oder die männliche oder sächliche Form verwendet, so ist an den Stellen, wo der Kontext dieser Vereinbarung oder die Vertragsparteien dies erfordert bzw. erfordern, diese Form als Plural oder weibliche Form oder juristische Person auszulegen.
6.4 Wird eine beliebige Bestimmung der vorliegenden Vereinbarung oder ein Teil von ihr ungültig, ungesetzlich oder nicht durchsetzbar, bleibt die Gültigkeit, Gesetzlichkeit und Durchsetzbarkeit der übrigen Bestimmungen davon unberührt.
6.5 Sämtliche gemäß vorliegender Vereinbarung zu zahlende oder zu berechnende Geldsummen sind, sofern nicht ausdrücklich etwas anderes angegeben ist, in der kanadischen Währung zu zahlen bzw. zu berechnen.
6.6 Hiermit wird ausdrücklich erklärt, dass die Fristeinhaltung bei der Erfüllung der jeweiligen Vertragspflichten durch die Parteien wesentlicher Bestandteil dieser Vereinbarung ist.
6.7 Die vorliegende Vereinbarung entfaltet ihre Wirkung zugunsten der Vertragsparteien und ihrer jeweiligen Erben, Erbschaftsverwalter, Vermögensverwalter, Rechtsvertreter, Rechtsnachfolger und zulässigen Übertragungsempfänger und ist für diese bindend.

As a German native speaker coming from a Croatian background, I grew up in a bilingual environment and soon discovered my fascination with foreign languages. I studied English and linguistics, which provided me with a good basis for further language learning and the sensitivity towards subtle nuances of language.
After my graduation from the MA programme Applied Translation Studies in the UK, I worked as an in-house translator for a highly specialized translation agency in Berlin. As further training, I have been attending classes in business studies and Croatian/Serbian and was awarded a scholarship for the Meeting of Slavists in Belgrade.
As a freelance translator, I offer translations in the fields of
