English to Spanish: Benefits of Quinoa for Lowering Triglycerides General field: Medical Detailed field: Nutrition
Source text - English Quinoa is a “pseudograin,” since the plant it comes from isn’t a type of grass. Technically it’s a seed-like fruit. It does have a lot of protein and also lots of vitamins and minerals, but so do all whole grains. Yeah, it has more protein than other grains, but since when do we need more protein? Fiber is what we’re sorely lacking, and its fiber content is relatively modest, compared to barley or rye. Pretty strong on folate and vitamin E and leads the pack on magnesium, iron and zinc. So nutritious? Sure, but when I think superfood, I think some sort of special clinical benefit. So, broccoli is a superfood; strawberries are a superfood; garlic is a superfood. But what about quinoa? Consumer demand is up, thanks in part to perceived health benefits. In lab animals it has all sorts of purported benefits, but there have been very few human studies.
English to Spanish: Never Too Late to Start Eating Healthier General field: Medical Detailed field: Nutrition
Source text - English A hundred years ago, The New York Times reported on a rather sophisticated study for the time: 4,600 cases of cancer studied over seven years, suggesting that the increased consumption of animal foods was to blame. A century later, the latest review on the subject concluded that mortality from all causes put together, ischemic heart disease, and circulatory and cerebrovascular disease (such as stroke) was significantly lower in those eating meat-free diets, in addition to less cancer and diabetes.

Source text - English A Tablespoon of Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Narcissistic Personality Disorder, or NPD, comes across in people as a sense of entitlement. Some of the characteristics include:
a sense that they deserve special treatment. The world or others owe them something.
haughtiness and arrogance
a tendency to have low self-esteem, deep down inside, which can make them depressed.
With NPD, the characteristics in the first two bullets listed above are the ones that are exhibited by Sheldon Cooper. Sheldon often times will express his feeling that others owe him something. He is extremely arrogant and seems to think that he is better than everyone else.
Sheldon has issues with people who he feels are not as intelligent as himself. He has a hard time communicating with Penny, his neighbour, who he says is "just a waitress." He looks down on her.
• sentimiento de que merecen algún tipo de trato especial. Otras personas, o incluso el mundo, les deben algo;
• grandiosidad y arrogancia;
