There was once a Brazilian teenager called Pedro Carlos. Pedro liked to play video games, but found that his friends had difficulties with the linguistic barrier. So, instead of dedicating his time to playing and improving as a gamer, he decided to volunteer his budding translation skills to the popular Minecraft server Hypixel. As you may have already guessed, that kid was once me! 

After translating a few thousand words for the Hypixel server, I realized that translation was more than a hobby for me. So, last year, I finally decided to start my professional career as a video game translator and localizer. Just a couple months later, I got a chance to help in translating the "Pregnancy Tracker" app, which has +100K downloads on Google Play, and help Brazilian women use the app entirely in Portuguese and not miss any information. It was an unrivaled experience, and after over 30K words translated with care and attention to detail, I came out of the experience knowing a lot about health, pregnancy and childcare. Since then, I have had the opportunity to localize a variety of mobile apps, in fields as diverse as Advertising & Marketing, Productivity & Wellness, Food, and Sports.
