La missione di “XXXXXX” è quella di ideare, sviluppare e commercializzare sistemi ad alto contenuto innovativo. Partendo dallo stato dell’arte delle tecnologie per la produzione di energie rinnovabili, l’approccio interdisciplinare e trasversale (Biomimetica)1 è finalizzato alla realizzazione di artefatti tecnici e applicazioni per un’architettura sostenibile.
La stessa “corporate identity” incarna lo spirito rivoluzionario del nostro tempo che attraverso l’evoluzione delle attività e tecnologie umane, eleva e persegue il concetto di “Sostenibilità ambientale”2, traendo ispirazione dalle moderne teorie, tra cui quelle di Serge Latouche3 sulla “decrescita felice” delle città, attraverso l’applicazione metodologica delle cosiddette “otto (R)”...
SINTESI
La XXXXXX S.p.a. è una società costituenda che si propone di progettare, brevettare e sviluppare sistemi e applicazioni per l’integrazione architettonica di sistemi per la produzione di energie rinnovabili (BIPV) 1. Sebbene il prototipo sia ancora da realizzare, il progetto e le specifiche del prodotto sono già sostanzialmente completi.
La società ha già ideato un sistema che è in una fase avanzata nell’iter di deposito della domanda di brevetto internazionale PCT2 all’EPO (European Patent Office) in quanto ha già ottenuto parere positivo circa la patentabilità.
XXXXXX e intende concedere in licenza questo sistema a diverse società produttrici che operano nel mercato internazionale.
La società dovrebbe concludere la fase di start up ed entrare a regime operativo in 5 anni secondo il piano illustrato al successivo paragrafo 5...
IL MERCATO
Nell’architettura sostenibile i sistemi BIPV stanno prendendo sempre più piede ma spesso l’integrazione architettonica riguarda però solo “sistemi fissi”, e spesso con ormai “obsolete” e “costose” tecnologie fotovoltaiche al silicio, che se integrate nelle superfici vetrate, in condizioni meteorologiche sfavorevoli hanno diversi svantaggi.
Questi sistemi hanno il solo scopo di produrre energia rinnovabile. Lo svantaggio principale è che questi sistemi non funzionano in condizioni di cattive condizioni meteorologiche, e se installati su superfici vetrate non consentono alla luce naturale di entrare all’interno degli ambienti, costringendo al consumo energetico attraverso l’uso di illuminazione artificiale anche nelle ore diurne, vanificando il risparmio energetico realizzato nelle ore in cui le condizioni climatiche sono state favorevoli al funzionamento del sistema...
Gli obiettivi 20 20 20 fissati dal protocollo di Kyoto e dalle direttive1 UE prevedono che [ …dal 31 dicembre 2020 tutti i nuovi edifici dovranno essere ad energia quasi zero (Nzeb)2 e dopo il 31 dicembre 2018, i nuovi edifici occupati e di proprietà di autorità pubbliche dovranno essere a energia quasi zero].
Gli Stati membri, inoltre, hanno iniziato a stimolare la graduale “trasformazione degli edifici esistenti” che dovranno essere trasformati in edifici a energia zero.
Ne consegue che, di fatto, già ora, le tecnologie fotovoltaiche integrate in facciata BIPV costituiscono un’ esigenza primaria.
Secondo nanomarkets3 attualmente, l'Europa occidentale ed il Giappone rappresentano il più grande mercato di prodotti BIPV. Tuttavia, l'Europa dell'Est, USA, Australia e Asia Pacifico (in particolare Cina, Malesia e Tailandia) stanno prestando più attenzione alla nascente industria. America Latina (in particolar modo il Brasile), India e Sud Africa sono stati identificati come "importanti nuovi mercati"...
ANALISI E STRATEGIE DELL'INDUSTRIA BIPV (CLIENTI)
Secondo un rapporto pubblicato da Pike Research i produttori di impianti fotovoltaici hanno iniziato delle collaborazioni con la grandi compagnie che realizzano facciate, così come i progettisti e gli architetti per ideare e sviluppare applicazioni di sistemi integrati BIPV.
Così facendo hanno guadagnato l'accesso ai mercati completamente nuovi. Le imprese di costruzione edili hanno iniziato a beneficiare e vedere nuove opportunità in edifici verdi e nelle operazioni di restyling di edifici residenziali e commerciali esistenti.
Il rapporto afferma che il segmento mercato BIPV è destinato a diventare il segmento dell'industria solare in più rapida crescita.
Tra le forme di collaborazione il rapporto menziona stati quali gli Stati Uniti d'America, nei quali Dyesol ha formato una joint venture con Pilkington Nord America, chiamata Dyetec Solar, per lo sviluppo della DSC facciata in vetro serie TEC di Pilkington e la Corea, dove Dyesol sta collaborando con Timo Technologies (joint venture denominata Dyesol-Timo) per commercializzare DSC e portare i prodotti BIPV al mercato asiatico.
Altre forme di collaborazione vedono la Permastelisa, ERG Renew, e inizialmente la Dyesol nel 2009, le quali hanno firmato lo statuto del Consorzio DYEPOWER che ha per scopo la realizzazione di una linea di produzione industriale dei nuovi pannelli DSC e vede tra i partecipanti Università quali quella di Ferrara, Torino e Tor Vergata. AGC Glass Europe, ramo europeo di AGC (il maggior produttore mondiale di vetro piano), già attivo nel BIPV ha firmato nel 2013 un accordo con Heliatek GmbH, altro leader nella produzione di DSC, su ricerca e sviluppo di sistemi per la produzione e fornitura di soluzioni integrate per l’involucro di vetro per edifici.
Merck (importante azienda chimica che fornisce materiali per applicazioni DSC) ha ricevuto un importante finanziamento nel 2013 dal Ministero Tedesco per il progetto di ricerca COBRA (organici a basso costo stampabili fotovoltaico di grande superficie a base di cobalto), che, insieme ai partner specializzati in produzione DSC 3GSolar (Israele) e di Colour Synthesis Solutions (UK), mira a migliorare l'efficienza e garantire la stabilità dei pannelli per più di 20 anni.

THE MARKETPLACE
In sustainable architecture, BIPV systems are becoming increasingly popular but often their architectural integration concerns only fixed systems. These are currently using obsolete and expensive photo-voltaic silicon cell technologies, which, when integrated to glass facades in bad weather conditions, reveal several disadvantages.
The sole objective of these systems is to produce renewable energy. The main disadvantage is that they do not work in bad weather conditions. If and when installed to glass surfaces, they do not allow for natural light to seep through interior spaces, forcing energy waste through the use of artificial lighting, even in daylight hours. Therefore nullifying the energy saving capabilities gained during the hours when weather conditions have been detrimental to the system’s functionality...
The 20 20 20 target dictated by the Kyoto protocol and the Directive 2010/31/EU1 requires that […All member States shall ensure that by the 31st of December 2020 all new buildings are near zero energy buildings (Nzeb); and thereafter from the 31st of December 2018, new buildings occupied and owned by public authorities are near zero energy buildings].
In addition, all member States have already begun to stimulate the gradual transformation of existing buildings to be converted into near zero energy ones.
Therefore, BIPV systems are of primary need.
According to Nanomarkets, currently Western Europe and Japan represent the biggest BIPV product marketplace. Moreover, Eastern Europe, USA, Australia and South East Asia (particularly China, Malaysia and Thailand) are leaning their attention towards this growing industry. South America (particularly Brazil), India and South Africa are already identified as “important new markets”...
ANALYSIS AND STRATEGIES OF BIPV INDUSTRY (CLIENTS)
According to a report published by Pike Research, photo-voltaic system producers have begun collaborating with building construction companies in order to implement BIPV facades, while designers and architects have also joined forces to create and develop BIPV integrated systems applications.
These synergies have allowed access to completely new markets. Construction companies have started to see benefits and new opportunities in developing Eco-sustainable architecture as well as in the restyling and conversion of existing residential and commercial buildings.
The report states that the BIPV market is destined to become the fastest growing segment in the whole solar energy industry marketplace.
The report mentions USA collaborations such as Dyetec Solar: a joint venture between Dyesol and Pilkington North America, to develop DSC facades with Pilkinton TEC series glass. Whilst in South Korea, Dyesol is collaborating with Timo Technologies (in a joint venture called Dyesol-Timo) to commercialize DSC and introduce BIPV products onto the Asian market.
Other forms of collaborations see Permastelisa, ERG Renew, and initially Dyesol in 2009, form the consortium DYEPOWER whose aim is to produce a product series of the new DSC panels on vast commercial scale. A venture to which the Universities of Ferrara, Turin and Tor Vergata (Rome) have also agreed to participate. The production line has recently accomplished its objectives and they are now ready to introduce their product to the BIPV international market.
AGC Glass Europe, the European branch AGC (the world's biggest producer of flat glass), is already active on the BIPV market. In 2013 it reached an agreement with Heliatek GmbH, another leader in DSC production, in order to research and develop systems for the production and supply of integrated solutions for glass casing buildings.
Also in 2013, Merck (an important chemical company that supplies materials for DSC application purposes) has received generous funding from the German government for their COBRA research project: to find organic cobalt-based low-cost printable large-area photovoltaics. In association with DSC, production specialized partners such as 3GSolar (Israel) and Colour Synthesis Solutions (UK), aim to improve panels efficiency and stability to over 20 years of use.
Recently, for the construction of the Swiss Tech Convention Centre, Solaronix (Switzerland) in collaboration with EPFL have created the first integrated facade with 355 DSC panels of large dimensions (300 sq m), having also standardized production processes for the making of solid state DSC panels...

Bio
I am an experienced bilingual translator with editorial and translating skills from/to English and Italian. I began my professional career in 1999 as a writer, translator and editor for UK based Purple Interactive, a web company specialising in the creation and administration of sport news websites in multiple languages.
In 2001, I joined IMG Sports as a freelance multilingual producer, writing and translating sport programmes from English to Italian. From 2002 to 2006, I worked for ESPN International as a multilingual producer, writing, editing and translating sport programmes from English to Italian and viceversa.
Since 2008, I have been freelancing as an English/Italian translator for a variety of international clients such as Rollin Dice Productions and SDI Media offering translation and proofreading services for film and TV content mostly but also marketing, legal, industrial and Computer IT documentation in a range of different fields.
Overall, I am versatile translator with mother tongue English and Italian skills who is also fluent in Spanish, and can read and translate from French and Hungarian.
