Conheci ..... em 1993, quando ela cursou uma disciplina de graduação - História da América Independente - por mim ministrada no Departamento de História da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Lembro-me dela como aluna, pois se destacou pela efetiva participação na disciplina e pela dedicação e entusiasmo com relação aos temas da história latino-americana. Depois disso, acompanhei sua formação, ainda que de longe, até a defesa de sua tese de doutoramento concluída com grande êxito em 2008, tendo sido premiada pelo Arquivo Nacional e publicada, em 2012 em coedição com a prestigiosa editora da Universidade de São Paulo. No primeiro semestre de 2010 pude comprovar a excelência de suas qualidades acadêmicas, pois estive na banca de concurso de seleção de professores de História da América na Universidade Estadual de Santa Catarina que a escolheu como a vencedora. Posso, nesse sentido afirmar que a Profa.... é uma historiadora com uma sólida formação e um definido perfil de scholar, aliando notável curiosidade intelectual, escolha de abordagens historiográficas inovadoras e acuidade de análise.
Translation - English I have known ..... since 1993 when she attended a graduate course - História da América Independente - which I taught in the Department of History at the State University of São Paulo (USP). I remember her as an outstanding student whose effective participation in the discipline and dedication and enthusiasm on the issues of Latin American history were remarkable. I have followed her academic career since then, albeit at a distance. In 2008, she completed her doctoral thesis which was awarded by the National Archives and published in 2012 by the prestigious publishing house of the University of São Paulo. In the first half of 2010 she proved the excellence of her academic qualities, being selected by a panel, in which I participated, as a teacher of American History at the State University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). I therefore assert that Professor ..... is a historian with a solid academic background and a defined scholarly profile, combining remarkable intellectual curiosity, innovative choice of historiographical approaches and accuracy of analysis.
