I am Beatrice Ceruti, a translator born and raised in Italy.
After a Master's Degree in Translation Practices and Studies, an internship in an agency that specializes in video game translation showed me how I could combine two great passions of mine: the love for languages and video games. Now, I collaborate with different agencies from all over the world to translate mobile and console games that gamers will enjoy and love. I also take care of the marketing texts that accompany these games.
I am also greatly interested in the technical and industrial fields and I translate manuals for home appliances, internal documents for firms and marketing and e-commerce content.
I have gained experience in marketing translation too, as I take care of copy content for an important retailer of outdoor wear. Recently, I have started working as a copywriter too.
I have a great interest in the literary field, as the last year of my Master's Degree was focused on literary translation. I have translated a webcomic for BeccoGiallo Editore (Heart and Brain by Nick Seluk) and in 2018 I have received an honourable mention for my translation submitted for Translation Slam, a translation contest held by Lucca Comics and Games (here).
Last but not least, I think some of my greatest assets are my accuracy, my curiosity and the fact that nothing makes me happier while working than delivering an excellent translation, so I always try my best to create a translation that satisfies my client and the readers.
