Bio
I prefer using an open-source web-based translation tool SmartCAT. I have the basics of translating with SDL Trados Studio 2015 & 2017 (no licences owned), as well as Poedit, and using Notepad++.

I am an aspiring freelance translator. Since early childhood I was keen on learning languages and reading in my native Lithuanian, later in English and Spanish too.

I started learning English as a first foreign language at the age of 7, Russian - being an eleven-year-old. In addition, I always wanted to learn Spanish but as I didn't have the opportunity to do it at school I tried to study it on my own. I realised that I want to study and become a translator while still at secondary school and never changed or doubted my decision.

My score in the final examination of Lithuanian language is 100%. [I always notice all of those grammar and especially spelling mistakes in Lithuanian texts.] I started my studies in Translation of Technical Texts in Kaunas University of Technology in 2013 and graduated in 2017.

Studying at university gave me the amazing opportunity to study abroad. My choice was the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation in University of Granada. I studied there for two autumn semesters - in 2015 and 2016. After the arrival to Spain and meeting Spanish speaking people I had to admit that my knowledge in this language was really basic. Studies included general and specialised translation from Spanish into English. After the first five months in Granada I felt that I must take all the opportunities that "Erasmus+" gives, so I got a summer internship in one of the hotels nearby Valencia. Working there was a breakthrough and the best chance to improve my Spanish significantly.

March–April 2017 Intern at "GidasGrupė". Translation from English into Lithuanian. Topics: cosmetics, beauty, culinary, healthy living and diet, psychology.

April 2017 Intern at "CargoWin". Localisation of freight bidding platform (Lithuanian into English UK), editing and revision (Lithuanian).

Now I am studying Turkish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and German on my own.
