SEGUNDA: OBJETO DEL CONTRATO
TELECOM, S.A. tiene contemplado realizar pruebas piloto de equipos de nuevas tecnologías en el Estado para evaluar la posibilidad técnica de establecer una red de telecomunicaciones inalámbrica digital basada en tecnología que sea capaz de proporcionar servicios de telecomunicaciones básicos de voz y de datos en aquellas zonas del país que presentan bajos índices de penetración de servicios de telecomunicaciones. De conformidad con las declaraciones de las partes antes enunciadas, éstas tienen por objeto prestarse mutua colaboración.
Las partes se responsabilizarán por cualquier daño o desperfecto que les pueda ocurrir a los equipos o al personal técnico durante la ejecución de la prueba. Sin embargo, para estos fines la empresa XYZ declara que mientras los equipos tienen una garantía que cubre las reparaciones o modificaciones que por defectos pudieran presentar, esta garantía no aplicará por defectos, daños, o mal funcionamiento ocasionado por el uso incorrecto, condiciones ambientales no adecuadas o por fuerza mayor.
TERCERA: CONFIDENCIALIDAD
Ambas Empresas se comprometen a guardar estricta confidencialidad con respecto a la información que puedan obtener en sus actividades, bien sea por sí, o por intermedio de otras personas que estén o no, directa o indirectamente a su cargo. Igualmente se comprometen a mantener la confidencialidad de la información relacionada con este proceso. Si alguna de estas empresas causare daños a la otra mediante el uso y/o la divulgación de la información confidencial recibida, sea ésta relativa a sus actividades o sus procedimientos, la empresa afectada se reservará el derecho de ejercer las acciones que correspondan por los daños que le hubieran sido causados.

THIRD: CONFIDENTIALITY
Both parties will maintain strict confidentiality with respect to information that may be gained either while performing activities or through other individuals who are either directly or indirectly in their charge. They will maintain confidentiality of information related to this process. If one company causes harm to another through the use and/or divulgence of confidential information, whether it is related to their activities or procedures, the affected party reserves the right to exercise appropriate actions to respond to the caused damage.

Los cazadores de plantas del mundo descubrieron en el último año 1.730 nuevas especies, entre las cuales se encuentran una nuevas variedades de café, yuca, chirivía, rosas y gardenias. 128 científicos de 12 países han trabajado en todo el mundo para publicar el informe State of the World's Plants ("estado de las plantas del mundo"), coordinado por el Kew Gardens de Londres —uno de los mayores centros de botánica del mundo—, que revela los nuevos descubrimientos en el campo y las amenazas que sufren las especies vegetales.

Last year the “plant hunters” of the world discovered 1,730 new species, including new varieties of coffee plant, yuca, parsnip roses and gardenias. A total of 128 scientists from 12 countries worked to publish the report “State of the World’s Plants,” coordinated by the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in London, one of the largest botanical centers in the world. The report reveals new field discoveries and highlights the threats that the global flora faces.
Many of the new species were discovered in Africa and Southeast Asia. However, Kathy Williams, Director of Kew Science considers the most important discovery to be the 11 types of Yuca plant found in Brazil. These varieties may be used to improve harvests for the thousands of people in tropical zones that depend on yuca as a food source. “In addition, we can study the genes of these species to identify characteristics that may help us model plants that are more resistant to climate change” added Willis in a phone interview. The group also discovered ancestral plants of other edible plants like capers, vanilla and sugar cane.
28,000 species were added to the list of medicinal plants. Highlighted among them are new types of climbing vines from Borneo and Ecuador, which may be used in medications to treat Parkinson’s disease. In addition,29 new varieties of begonias from the forests of Malaysia, roses and irises from China, and new violets and champions from Turkey will add new colors and scents in horticultural settings.
