Translation - English In mild winter, vegetable prices remain cheap.
January 13th, 5:20
The Ministry of Agriculture found last week that due to the mild winter, cabbage is 34% cheaper than average and expected to remain cheap.
Every week, the Ministry of Agriculture examines the retail prices of five major products at 470 supermarkets across Japan: cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, Chinese cabbage and daikon. They compared the prices with averages from previous years: cabbage, 34% cheaper (¥132/kg); lettuce, 12% cheaper (¥605/kg); Chinese cabbage, 10% cheaper (¥132/kg); daikon, 9% cheaper (¥135). Conversely, tomato yields have flourished in the mild winter. Tomatoes from last November’s massive crop were as much as 13% cheaper than average but now because of falling production, the price is 10% higher than average (¥739/kg).
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, due to a long spell of high temperature days, vegetable production has increased. Since last November, vegetable prices have remained between 10 and 30% cheaper than in an average year. However, the Ministry expects that entering this coming year, lower temperatures will decrease production. They expect that about midway through January, prices should return to normal. Many farmers are increasing output due to the warm winter but come spring, production will decrease and it’s likely that prices will shift higher.

Japanese to English: Who's to blame for poor fortunes in love? General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
Translation - English Who's to blame for poor fortunes in love?
This may seem out of the blue, but do you have good luck with love? Do you often say to your girlfriends, "I just have bad luck with men..."? Even if you look at your horoscope in a magazine, you unconsciously check your love predictions every week, worrying about it more than you'd expect.
We certainly make our own luck, drawing it from elsewhere. One thing is certain, you can rest assured that luck is by no means an innate ability. For this reason, luck is always on your side and as a matter of fact, it seems surprisingly simple to control. Today, we will tell you about a necessary trick you can do to increase your day to day chances with love.
It's just my personal opinion, but to begin with, I feel that luck is a bit like the feeling of nervous excitement. When referring to the word, “fortune,” there is a certain power flowing from it. When you ride that flow well, good things tend to happen. However, if you make a futile effort, it may not turn out well for you.
So, people who are always lamenting, “I have bad luck with men..., "I always get cheated on...,” and “I can't find happiness...,” and who don't break out of the loop of negativity, will never draw good fortunes in love. Unfortunately, emitting those negative words and attitudes will lead to an unhappy love life.
