My name is Francesca and I am an English to Italian translator with over 8 years of experience.
Former Italian Lecturer, I specialize in marketing and advertising, travel and tourism and clothing and beauty industry.

Marketing translation and advertising transcreation
Over the past 8 years I helped plenty of small and medium businesses to grow their presence on the Italian market. “Context and audience” are two of the main keys for a successful and effective communication, and translation is no exception.
With an extensive knowledge of the marketing and advertising fields I can provide you with a copy translation which not only addresses correctly the target audience and cultural differences, but also emphasizes the right tone and style.
I pride myself on having honed both above the line and below the line contents for global brands such as Fitbit, Nespresso, Tiffany, Apple, MasterCard and EA, completing more than 550 transcreation projects and translating over 2 million words in this field only.
Tourism and travel
Having lived in two different countries and visited more than 30 both within and outside of the European Union, I leverage my extensive knowledge of the travel and tourism lingo in all my projects.
But I go beyond that. As a veteran traveler I also came to a deep understanding of the best style when adapting marketing materials for both high-end hotels and budget-price accommodations.

Clothing and beauty products
Being interested in clothing and beauty products from an early age, it only came natural to me to specialize in this domain as I started out as a translator.
Since then, I took on more than 1 million words in this field, contributing to the Italian success of brands such as The North Face, L’Oréal, Loro Piana and Primark.
As an example of my work, a few years ago I localized all of Aesop’s marketing contents as the brand launched their first stores in Italy.
And I am not scared of taking on contents on men’s products! In fact, I loved working with businesses such as The Bluebeards revenge on their shaving and skin care products.
