Bio
Hello,

I am a French translator. I got a master's degree in translation and created my company two years ago. A total of 6 years of experience for the following language pairs: English-French and French-English

I got 960 points (full mark: 990) on the TOEIC test "listening and reading" in May 2018.

I have lived in Japan for more than 4 years, including intensive Japanese classes for 2 years and 2 years spent working in Japanese companies. I passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 (N5 being the lowest level), so I can translate your documents and videos from Japanese to French or English. I can also translate into Japanese depending on the field of translation (proofreading is carried out by a native Japanese).

My fields of specialization are:
- tourism
- video games
- cooking
- communication / marketing
- economy
- ecology
- pottery
- wine
- and literature

Here are a few projects I carried out these last two years as a translator:
• Audio check
Audio "proofreading" in Japanese for an e-learning website. The job involved checking audio tracks to see if it matched with the script in Japanese.

• French-Japanese translation
Translation of a bilingual book customizable according to the name, age and skin color of the child receiving the present.
Ongoing. Translation of a children's book for educational purposes.
Translation of two websites. One was for Domaine Jeannot, a wine maker. The other one was for Trade Club, an organization that makes trade easier for banks and their customers.
Translation of poems in the Japanese haiku style and of a short introduction of the author.

• Audio transcription
Written transcription of interviews for a history documentary about Vimy Ridge (WW1) from audio files (about 165 minutes) mostly in English with some parts in French.

• Proofreading and French to English translation
Proofreading in French and translation of a breach of contract letter from French to English.

• French to English translations
Translation of a sports article about the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Translation of subtitles for a French 26 minutes documentary titled "From One City To Another", movie directed by Over The Moon Productions.
Translation of the press release to present the French documentary to various festivals.
Translation of the voice-over, Estelle Hubert's website. It involved specialized vocabulary related to demos, tones of voice, the studio and equipment with a few puns. There were 2 articles including a poem.

• Proofreading in French
Proofreading of conditions of use for the customer's website (tourism area).

• Japanese to French translation
Translation of a privacy policy for a website.
Translation of a 20-page technical manual about Japanese trains and the way to calculate ticket prices.
Ongoing. Consulting for the same customer.
