I graduated with a BA from Kings College London in French and Hispanic Studies. My degree placed a substantial emphasis on language skills - translation, comprehension, fluency - which was supplemented by modules including French Feminist Writing; the Political Economy of Spain; Modern French Thinking; and Medieval Spanish Literature, giving a broad understanding of both cultures and languages.

While studying I worked as a documentary researcher for a Spanish language news programme. I would assist with transcription, proof reading and translating subtitles for broadcast. I less frequently assisted colleagues transcribing, translating and writing subtitles from French into English for broadcast, as well as translating legal documents.

I have recently been working with the press for a charity in Westminster so am well equipped to deal with political translations as well as for journalists, public relations and marketing, or charities.

I am hard-working and conscientious, with a keen eye for detail and excellent skills across many different registers.
