Bio
I am a recent graduate from the acclaimed Masters in Translation and Professional Language Skills from the University of Bath. I specialised in Spanish translation and successfully completed modules in public service interpreting, proofreading, editing, translation management, public speaking and enterprise skills. I also have a First Class Honours BA degree in Irish with Spanish from Queens University Belfast.

I have a strong interest in food science and nutrition, particularly on vegetarian diets and the link between food and common diseases. I also consider environmental, ethical and social issues as topics of particular interest and would feel confident that I have a good level of knowledge in such issues. I would also classify Irish history and political history as a specialist subject as I recently completed a 10,000 word translation on the subject for my dissertation.

I am a native English speaker but fluent in Irish as I began learning Irish at the age of four. I have spent may years in bilingual environments and am confident in my Irish to English translations, and in general English to Irish translations.

Through this Proz account I hope to use my studies to assist others break the language barrier and to provide a professional and friendly service. I am very negotiable and eager to help. I am a very diligent, proactive and punctual worker.

Thank you for taking an interest in my profile.
