Bio
I am a native American and have lived in Germany since 1983. While growing up in the United States I lived on Naval Bases (where I gained an affinity for Aviation) and later close to Aerospace Projects such as White Sands Missle Testing Facilities.

I started college in New Mexico and then went on to get a Bachelor Degree at the University of Maryland in College Park in Music and a Masters at San Jose State University in Music Performance. After living in San Francisco and Rom, I moved to Germany to pursue a career (successfully, I might add) as an opera and concert singer. After 2000, I changed over to artistic planing and administration which I did for about 12 years. I have been translating and teaching (Business English and English for specific purposes) since 2010.

I love translating and the challenges it brings with it - staying true to the source while finding the correct correlation in a different language - keeping cultural differences as well the "tone" behind the text in mind. Translation allows me to continue learning - each text brings new insights and a learning adventure with it. Learning was an important part of my upbringing. Knowledge is choice, freedom to develope. At least this was how we were raised - learn as much as you can about as much as you can. If I don't know something, I will find it and learn about it!

My specialties are Education / Pedagogy, Finance (general), History, Human Resources,
Poetry & Literature, Music, Tourism & Travel, Conversation, Greetings, Letters (also with sensitve content), etc.

My interests include Medicine, Pharmacology, Technology, Machines, Law, Psychology, Theology, History, Sports, Cooking and enjoying food.
