Bio
My name is Alessandra Martina Martines, a native speaker of Italian and a qualified technical, marketing and medical translator, editor and trascreator. My language combinations are as followed: English, German / Swiss German and French / Swiss French into Italian and Swiss Italian. 
I am fascinated by the power of language involved in the translation process as a means to bridge the communication gap among different cultures and further technological development.
This is the reason why I am always dedicated to provide highly accurate translations. 
After completing an internship at the Directorate General for Translation at the European Commission in Luxembourg, I worked as an in-house technical translator, liaison interpreter and translation editor for over three years both in Italy and in the Netherlands until August 2014.

I have been living and working in the United Kingdom since September 2014 and I am now based in York where I am enthusiastically dedicated to offer my translation and editing services as a freelance translator.
