Bio
I am a Biotechnology entrepreneur and have been in science since 1992. So why do I also do translation? It’s true that it pays much less, but it’s just as rewarding and offers a working pattern that is more compatible with family life (and, who knows, living abroad). Moreover, I am married to a professional translator (German native, university diploma for translation; English and French), so that's an additional incentive in this direction.

As a scientist I am immersed in science language every working day, and regularly write monolingual (English) publications. I am uniquely placed to produce translations with an authentic scientific style, while remaining faithful to the source text. I am helped by my large experience of scientific writing, as I have 37 original research publications (including 16 as senior author), three reviews, three book chapters and eight patent applications to my name. Needless to say I bring the same professionalism to my translation work that is required of me in my scientific work.

My other working fields reflect my areas of interest and expertise – I don’t take on translation work in areas I am not familiar with.
