Bio
Why the Holistic Bilingual Perspective?

As a translator and bilingual, I strive to bring a holistic bilingual perspective to the field, applying skills, training, and life experiences that can only be utilized through the application of a bilingual lens.

In addition to extensive experience living abroad- I spend my time between Spain and the states- I have completed extensive coursework and professional training in the field of translation and translation theory, and love all things pertaining to language and linguistics.

I have a Master of Arts degree from the New York University in Madrid, where I completed advanced graduate coursework and training in Spanish-English translation in the following areas:

Theory and Practice of Translation
Translation of Literary, Legal, Medical, and Business Texts
Spanish Lexicon and Morphosyntaxis
Hispanic Dialectology and Sociolinguistics
Applied Phonetics and Spoken Contemporary Spanish

In my free time, I enjoy serving as a United Nations online volunteer and am currently collaborating with a number of nonprofit organizations in both the U.S. and internationally.
