Lost in Sane: the album lyrics and the credits
First, I helped the composer to broaden the scope of the vocabulary and variety while adhering to a clear and specific lyrical concept and style. The aim was to make sure the lyrics were to a high international standard, were not cliché, hackneyed or meaningless and expressed their content clearly and efficiently.
We then polished to perfection the pronunciation for the recording and finally, I translated or corrected the credits and proofread the lyrics for publishing. http://lamrimmusic.com/en/Music/Lost-in-Sane

Spanish to English: Cubic Experience: Part of a proposal for an Installation for Art Basel 2012 General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting

Translation - English This project is to be understood as a visual experience in which the spectator is submerged as he or she moves through it and becomes a living part of the sculpture.
This installation is designed exclusively for this space and is an original design. It's made up of two groups of ten pieces of laminated glass which are suspended in mid air and attached to the floor, walls and ceiling by means of a system of steel cables.
As the spectator moves from left to right, he or she will notice how the modules come together or separate. It's only when the spectator is in the middle of the passage, directly facing the stand, that the two modules can be seen in perfect symmetry and together they form a floating cube. The artistic intention is, however, to further the experience by inviting the observer to literally cross through the middle of the artwork. By walking in a zig zag, the observer reaches the back of the room.
This piece of artwork is intended to completely take over the space it inhabits, converting that space into part of the whole artistic experience. The emptiness of the room disappears as it has been filled with the cables and splattered with the shadows and reflections caused by the light playing on the glass.
The pieces that make up the artwork are transparent, repeated and increase or decrease in size. On one hand, this produces a multichromatic effect and on the other, together with the straight lines of the glass and the cables, it produces a kinetic effect when the spectator is in movement. This makes movement an important part of the artwork.

espacio trapézio aims to provide a platform for young and emerging artists from all disciplines and technical backgrounds.
Aditionally, espacio trapézio welcomes social and cultural activities rooted in a creative perspective and aims to liaise between the user and the creator in an open, accessible and dynamic space.

Translation - English Mixed races: Towards an new concept of identity.
by Teresa Aizpún de Bobadilla (Universidad Complutense de Madrid)
What do we think of when we talk about identity? The concept “identity” refers to the idea of being the agent that constructs the human being and I say "constructs" because the human being is nothing more than what he or she makes of him or herself. This is why it is so important when speaking of the identity to be very clear about where we direct, consciously or unconsciously, our efforts because to that very place we are directing our being. It is us, ourselves, who outline and form our way of thinking and feeling, we define determined possibilities of our existence as "desirable" or "acceptable" or, on the other hand, "pernicious" or simply unattainable. Of course, the ideal or model of identity (of self-definition, if you like) that we construct doesn't merely respond to an individual creation, even though it's obvious that the social, cultural or political forms are also a product of the human thought and work. If we accept the idea that identity is of our own creation, to a great extent cultural and, for this reason negotiable, to speak of identity is not only meaningful but vitally important because it means to speak about an image to a greater or lesser extent socio-cultural, in reference to which the individual judges and constructs, measures him or herself and interprets. To examine our images is, then, an ineludible task of thought.
The formation of the concept of identity: the identity and image of the body.
Throughout history, the leeway of action that culture has left to the individual in the labour of "self-creation" has varied enormously. Even today, the freedom of self-definition granted to the individual in one or another culture is very different. The model elaborated in each case, which helps us to judge our lives, speaks to us of internal coherence, truth or the degree of "individual perfection" reached. In other words, it speaks of the personal situation in relation to what each society considers "excellence", of the ideals with which a culture defines and forms itself and each individual develops. We can use it, then, as a guide for our judgements of others and ourselves, of the life we allow ourselves to aspire to and of the actions that we endeavour to carry out. The concept of identity simultaneously defines the spiritual model -as a way of personal development- marking out our boundaries and aspirations, our present reality, the idea that each person has of him or herself and what makes action and thought possible.
Aside from the cultural weight given to each case, when we speak of identity, we inevitably speak of individuality. In the west, identity was identified fairly early on with "I", it was united to the idea of separation and individual distinction, of the strength an individual possesses (even before the gods) to control and direct his or her own life and in the strictest sense, to be himself or herself. For this reason, in the west, identity and personal perfection were rapidly associated to musculature, the differentiated and strong body that distinguishes the individual (human and free) from others. This body image, the image of the being which is aware of itself, and given that the muscles are organs of voluntary movement, is "the individualised and articulated physique (as in differentiated in its parts) [which] incarnates the European identity"1. The emphasis on strength and anatomy doesn't simply express physical ideas but a way of understanding life by means of a struggle, action and quick decision, the superiority gained over the opponent and over vital problems. Greek agonism is very far from meditation or no- action as ways of interpreting the conduct of the wise in oriental cultures. In the west, identity, like any other concept, is only explicitly a means of "clarity and distinction" paraphrasing Descartes. The difference between things, ideas or people as the basis of any process is always the starting point. The pause in the dance or in speech, conceptual analysis, "I" as separate and distinct from the world and from others -the different subject- is an object which, from Aristotelian logic, has defined our culture in all its fields and on all levels. As Aristotle said, all thought has to be directed by three basic principles: identity (A=A) no contradiction (A not-A) and the Principle of excluded middle (there is no third possibility).

My name's Orlando, I'm a professional linguist who lives and works in Madrid. I get a lot of satisfaction out of the intellectual challenge of working with and between languages. I believe that people stand to gain a lot from the open-minded understanding of the potential that languages have. I'm also a firm believer in the calm and sensitive approach to the differences between languages, their cultural contexts and their subtexts.
I have been working in the field of English teaching since 2000 and began translating a few years later, I'm also a trained and enthusiastic writer. I have an excellent working relationship with a professional composer and we've written songs together which anyone can investigate here.
