Source text - English DESY plant, die TESLA-Test-Facility in ihrer 2. Phase auszubauen. Durch eine Verlängerung kann der Linearbeschleuniger dann Elektronenenergien bis zu 1.6 GeV erreichen. Die Nutzungsschwerpunkte liegen im Test von Beschleunigerkomponenten für den Linear-Collider TESLA und im später zunehmenden Betrieb des Freie-Elektronen-Lasers. Die Aspekte des Strahlenschutzes hinsichtlich
einer Änderung des Betriebes werden hier behandelt. Eine Besonderheit von TTF 2 besteht darin, daß sie den bereits existierenden Ringbeschleuniger PETRA kreuzt. Das Strahlenschutzkonzept ist so ausgerichtet, daß sich die beiden Beschleuniger so gering wie nötig beeinträchtigen.
Translation - German DESY plans to extend its TESLA-Test-Facility in phase 2. The Linear-accelerator can reach electron energies up to 1.6 GeV with this extension. The main application in the tests were the accelerator components of the linear collider TESLA and later the free-electron-laser. The aspects of radiation protection after the changing of the facility are covered in this report. The special feature of the TTF 2 is that it crosses the existing PETRA ring accelerator. The radiation protection idea (concept) is handled in a way that both accelerators inhibit each other as little as possible.
