Source text - German Der Begriff der Heimat besitzt neben seiner räumlichen auch eine zeitliche Dimension. Tatsächlich definieren sich der Wunsch nach Bewahrung von Heimat und die Identifikation mit Heimat zu einem großen Teil aus ihrem drohenden Verlust. Aus der leiblichen Verlusterfahrung von Heimat ergibt sich zugleich ein weiterer Aspekt: Heimat, also das Gewohnte, das Tradierte, das Vorhandene, ist stets im Widerstreit mit dem Fremden und dem Neuen zu sehen. Daraus ergibt sich die Strategie dem drohenden Heimatverlust zumindest auszuweichen und man kann so versuchen diesem eine stark ritualisierte Bewahrung von Brauchtum möglichst lang andauernd entgegenzuwirken.
Für den Zusammenhang zwischen „Heimat – Identifikation – Denkmal“ soll jedoch ein anderer Weg gegangen werden, der Tradition und Fremde als sich ergänzende Komponenten von Heimat begreift und für den der Volkskundler Hermann Bausinger 1984 die Grundlage geschaffen hat: „Heimat ist nicht mehr Gegenstand passiven Gefühls, sondern Medium und Ziel praktischer Auseinandersetzung – sie wird aktiv angeeignet.“ (Daum 2007, S. 2) Auf diesem komplexen Heimatbegriff fußt Bernd Hüppaufs Begriffsverständnis: „Gegen Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts lässt sich eine Zäsur im Denken von Heimat beobachten. Heimat kehrt als ein veränderter Begriff wieder. Zeit und Ort der Kindheit verlieren ihre Bedeutung. Die Erfahrungen des 20. Jahrhunderts haben die Identifikation von Kindheit und Heimat, seit der Romantik (...) betont, entkoppelt. Das Bedürfnis nach Heimat ist geblieben. Für die gegenwärtige Diskussion ist die Frage zu stellen, welche Bedeutung dem Wort Heimat im Diskurs unter fundamental veränderten Lebensbedingungen zugeschrieben wird und was die Wiederkehr des Begriffs im Zeitalter der Globalisierung leisten kann.“ (Hüppauf 2007, S. 131)

Translation - Polish Pojęcie ojczyzny prywatnej posiada, poza przestrzennym, również wymiar czasowy. Życzenie zachowania ojczyzny i identyfikacji z nią definiowane jest faktycznie w znacznej części poprzez zagrożenie jej utratą. Z fizycznego doświadczenia utraty stron rodzinnych wynika jednocześnie kolejny aspekt: ojczyzna, czyli to, co bliskie i znajome, przekazane, obecne, ukazuje się w permanentnym starciu z tym, co obce i nowe. Konsekwencją jest przyjęcie strategii (przynajmniej) sprzeciwu wobec grożącej utraty ojczyzny. Dzięki niej można temu zagrożeniu, poprzez silnie zrytualizowane kultywowanie tradycji, możliwie długofalowo przeciwdziałać.
W kontekście związku między „małą ojczyzną - identyfikacją – zabytkiem” powinno się jednak pójść inną drogą: taką, która przyjmuje tradycję i obcość jako uzupełniające się komponenty ojczyzny - i której fundament położył w 1984 roku etnolog Hermann Bausinger: „Ojczyzna nie jest już obiektem pasywnego uczucia, ale medium i celem praktycznej refleksji – w aktywny sposób przyjmuje się ją za własną” (Daum 2007, s. 2). Na tej złożonej definicji ojczyzny bazuje jej rozumienie Bernda Hüppaufa: „Około końca wieku XX daje się zaobserwować swoisty zwrot w myśleniu o ojczyźnie. Ojczyzna powraca jako termin zmieniony. Czas i miejsce dzieciństwa tracą znaczenie. Doświadczenia XX wieku rozprzęgają, podkreślane od czasów romantyzmu (…), utożsamienie dzieciństwa i ojczyzny. Potrzeba ojczyzny pozostaje. We współczesnej dyskusji zapytać trzeba, jakie znaczenie nadaje się słowu mała ojczyzna w fundamentalnie zmienionych warunkach życia i jaką moc ma powrót tego pojęcia w epoce globalizacji” (Hüppauf 2007, s. 131).

Spanning the boundaries of landscape research and urban sociology.
Ecological perspective. Seeing children grow resilient into sustainable future.
I graduated in Landscape Architecture at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (master thesis "Meaning of the historical monastery arrangements in the spatial form of the city of Nowy Sacz – study of the interactions in the urban space", 2001) and complemented my education with Comparative Urban Studies (European Master Programme, thesis paper on the issues of "Gender Mainstreaming' application in the public green space: analysis of the best practice in European context. Comparing Berlin and Vienna", 2009).
I was a successful participant of the EDAW Summer Student Programme 2000, grant beneficiary and guest researcher of Saxony Ministry of Science and Art 2002, and till 2006 scientific assistant at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, Institute of Geography and Geology, Reseaerch Group Urban Landscapes.
In the years 2002 - 2010 I was involved as a freelance and/or on an honorary basis in several initiatives (international projects, social and ecological sustainability, intercultural communication, project acquisition) for organisations, local authorities and companies in Poland, Germany and Austria. As a freelance project assistant I took part in social studies, initiatives in planning and design, research, as well as specialised and literature translation projects:

After closing my parental leave in November 2010 I entered the journey towards early education degree in Dresden, Germany.
