Source text - Spanish Extracto de la Introducción del libro "LA ERA ADANICA, FIN DE UN MITO" de Jorge Raul Vera, La Rioja, Argentina Si aceptamos como hipótesis de trabajo la posibilidad de que en algún momento de la Prehistoria, coexistieron con nuestros ancestros, seres llegados desde algún lugar del Cosmos también podríamos presumir que aquellos dioses mitológicos, con hábitos y necesidades comunes a los hombres y con otras múltiples facetas que no tenían nada de "excelsas" - según lo cuentan los propios relatos- se habrían ganado el temor y la sumisión incondicional de las primitivas criaturas terrestres, gracias a la incontrastable superioridad que poseían. La diversidad de fenómenos sensoriales que es posible desarrollar mediante una tecnología de avanzada, podría haber provocado - de ser necesario- impactos terroríficos en los ocasionales testigos, originándose de esa manera los innumerables relatos de tintes "milagrosos", que obnubilarían a los circunstanciales espectadores. Los testigos presenciales de aquellos extraordinarios hechos (que presumimos), dejaron a la posteridad dos tipos de relaciones o mensajes, así pues, el medio más común fue el relato "boca a boca".La expresión oral constituye -según nuestra apreciación moderna- el medio más elocuente para transmitir ideas o conocimientos. Pero suponemos - obviamente- que los primitivos hombres no contarían con un abundante vocabulario, por lo tanto es lógico inferir que los relatos que han llegado hasta nuestros días, referidos a los supuestos "dioses", debieron de elaborarse con no pocas dificultades, más aún, considerando las excepcionales e incomprensibles características de los personajes que protagonizaron los sucesos. Por ese motivo quizás convenga denominar "Arqueografía Espacial", a esta nueva filosofía revisionista, entendiéndose por Arqueografía, "la descripción gráfica de escenas, usos y costumbres de la antigüedad".Los petroglifos del Cañón de Talampaya, ubicado en la provincia de La Rioja (República Argentina), representan un inestimable aporte para los investigadores de las diferentes ramas de la Ciencia, porque los glifos o ideogramas de dichos grabados, no se insertan en la simbología desarrolladas por culturas ya conocidas; pero fundamentalmente, porque a través de los mismos podemos comprender y reconstruir con mayor precisión, aquellos acontecimientos primigenios narrados en las antiguas sagas.Y ello es así, en razón de que dichos petroglifos nos muestran a los legendarios "dioses" es decir a los "colonos extraterrestres", luciendo su verdadero aspecto y las características excepcionales y precisas, de aquellos asombrosos objetos de los cuales se servían. For that reason, perhaps, it would be advisable to call this new revisionist philosophy "Arqueografía Espacial" (Space Archaeography), understanding for Archaeogrphy "the graphic description of scenes and customs of ancient times". The petroglyphs of the Talampaya Canyon, located in the province of La Rioja (Argentine Republic), represent an invaluable contribution to researchers of different branches of Science, since the glyphs or ideograms represented by these engravings do not belong to the symbols developed by currently known cultures, but, essentially, because through them we can more accurately understand and reconstruct the primeval events told by the ancient sagas. And this is so, because said petroglyphs show us the legendary "gods", i.e. the "extraterrestrial colonists", in their true aspect and with the exceptional and precise characteristics of the amazing objects they used. It is obvious that the chronicles reflected in the petroglyphs of the Talampaya Canyon are, by themselves, unobjectionable authentic and sole first-hand evidence that pristinely clarify the ancient events whose existence humanity keeps a vague record

Source text - English The seven habit model management and leadership guru Stephen Covey is a theory that is applicable to our personal life, our social life and our working life. However, the Seven Habits framework is highly applicable for leaders and managers. According to Covey, our paradigms affect how we interact with others, which in turn affects how they interact with us. Therefore Covey argues that any effective self-help program must begin with an "inside-out" approach, rather than looking towards our problems as "being out there" (AN OUTSIDE-IN APPROACH), we must start with examining our own character, paradigms, and motives. THE SEVEN HABITS OF COVEY 1- Be Proactive. This is the ability to control one's environment, rather than the opposite, as is so often the case. Managers need to control their own environment, by using self-determination and the ability to respond to various circumstances. 2- Begin with the end in mind. This means that the manager must be able to see the desired outcome, and to concentrate on activities which help to achieve that end. 3- Put first things first. A manager must manage his person personally. And managers should implement activities which aim to achieve the second habit. Covey says that habit 2 is the first, or mental crection; habit 3 is the second, or physical creation. 4- Think win-win. This is the most important aspect of interpersonal leadership, because most achievements are based on shared effort. Therefore the aim needs to be win-win solutions for all. 5- Seek first to understand and then to be understood. By developing and maintaining positive relationships through good communications, the manager is understood by others, and he can understand the subordinates. 6- Synergize. This is the habit of creative cooperation: the principle that holds that collaborating towards attaining a purpose often achieves more than could be achieved by individuals working independently. 7- Sharpen the saw. We should learn from our previous experiences. An we should encourage others to do the same. Covey sees development as one of the most important aspects for being able to cope with challenges, and for aspiring towards higher levels of ability. One of these is how you will price the offering. A pricing strategy is mostly influenced by your requirement for net income and your objectives for long term market control. There are three basic strategies you can consider. • A SKIMMING STRATEGY If your offering has enough differentiation to justify a high price and you desire quick cash and have minimal desires for significant market penetration and control, then you set your prices very high. • A MARKET PENETRATION STRATEGY If near term income is not so critical and rapid market penetration for eventual market control is desired, then you set your prices very low. • A COMPARABLE PRICING STRATEGY If you are not the market leader in your industry then the leaders will most likely have created a 'price expectation' in the minds of the marketplace. In this case you can price your offering comparably to those of your competitors. Promotion To sell an offering you must effectively promote and advertise it. There are two basic promotion strategies, PUSH and PULL. • The PUSH STRATEGY maximizes the use of all available channels of distribution to "push" the offering into the marketplace. This usually requires generous discounts to achieve the objective of giving the channels incentive to promote the offering, thus minimizing your need for advertising. • The PULL STRATEGY requires direct interface with the end user of the offering. Use of channels of distribution is minimized during the first stages of promotion and a major commitment to advertising is required. The objective is to "pull" the prospects into the various channel outlets creating a demand the channels cannot ignore. There are many strategies for advertising an offering. Some of these include: • Product Comparison advertising In a market where your offering is one of several providing similar capabilities, if your offering stacks up well when comparing features then a product comparison ad can be beneficial. • Product Benefits advertising When you want to promote your offering without comparison to competitors, the product benefits ad is the correct approach. Source text - English JUAN RULFO 1917 - 1986 In the darkest days of the Battle of Britain, Winston Churchill said of the RAF that "never has so much been owed by so many to so few." To paraphrase the great statesman, it could be said of the Juan Rulfo's literary output that never has such a small body of work been so widely acclaimed by so many. Prolific, Rulfo was not. Between 1953 and 1980 he published one novel, a book of 17 short stories, and several film scripts, some of them based on his novel and short stories. Yet his work was so highly regarded that he won Mexico's National Prize for Literature in 1970 and was elected to the Mexican Academy of Language in 1980. In 1985 he received the Premio Cervantes ("Cervantes Prize") from Spain in recognition of his accomplishments. Rulfo was born on May 16, 1917, in the village of San Gabriel, Jalisco, today Ciudad Venustiano Carranza. He had a grim childhood, witnessing as a little boy some of the more violent episodes of the 1926-29 Cristero religious war. His father died when he was six; his mother two years later. At age ten he was sent to an orphanage, where he remained the next four years. Rulfo was a voracious reader his entire life, his interest in books sparked by an incident that took place when he was eight. Because of the bitter Church-State conflict that led to the Cristero (Catholic) rebellion, the local parish priest had entrusted his entire library to the young boy's grandmother. Possessing an intense intellectual curiosity, Rulfo devoured every volume in the transplanted library. While summer is quite pleasant and mostly dry with average highs usually just below 30°C (86°F), cold northeastern bora winds and heavy rainfall often detract from the appeal of an otherwise mild winter. Inland the eastern European climate takes hold. Central Slovenia's winters are cold, though while the sun is out the mercury is usually just above zero (32°F). Unfortunately the charming summer days that sit in the high 20°Cs (low 80°Fs) are often subject to significant downpours that continue for the rest of the year Events Overview The Ljubljana Summer Festival is the nation's premier cultural celebration, featuring music, theatre and dance performances in Ljubljana during the months of July and August. Maribor's Lent Festival, in late June or early July, celebrates folklore, culture and music. The Cows' Ball (Kravji Bal) in Bohinj is a kitsch weekend of eating, drinking and folk dancing in mid-September to mark the return of the cows to the valleys from their high pastures. It doesn't get any more Slovenian than this. January and March bring ski competitions - the January Women's World Cup Slalom and Giant Slalom Competition is one of the major ski events for women, held on the slopes southwest of Maribor. In March, the Ski Jumping World Championships host three days of high flying in Planica. The new technologies and their effects on the way of producing something, the unstable working conditions and the need of permanent training require the solution of the problem of articulation existing between high-school or polimodal and university education since both have an effect on the students’ future working performance. Unemployment and human development statistics show our province has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country which also evidence a lower human development. This implies that a great number of our people live in very precarious conditions, that is why a project promoting local growth is of utmost relevance. The characteristics of the present job market are strongly marked by higher requirements referred to knowledge levels and academic background. All this implies that before the constant and steady changes, permanent pedagogical and didactic updating must be reconsidered in order to make the necessary adjustments in the educational contents to meet the technological organizational and cultural changes of the “working world”. The methodology of this research work will follow the steps, namely: • Diagnosis and induction into the application of new technologies and into online work. • Definition of the methodology to be applied to the entrepreneurs’ training and to the online work. • Starting up, experimenting and constitution of the learning network in order to promote the entrepreneurial capacity under a STS+ I (Science+ Technology+ Society+ Innovation), in that it must satisfy the society it is inserted in. • Analysis of results and drawing up a final report. Subsequent research works have shown that the error is not only a consequence of ignorance, uncertainty or chance, but also the effect of a previous knowledge, that is false, incomplete or inapproppriate, and that is usually realted to the learner's own conceptions. The teacher has to leave room for and provide the necessary guidance so that the student himself/herself can analyze and understand the error he or she made. That is the reason why we are to look into errors in Mathematics which students entering the Faculty make and which could be obstacles in the learning process. This made us consider as our objective: Analyzing the significant errors made in Mathematics by students entering the Faculty. We analyzed the answers of students entering the institution to the questions asked in the Diagnostic Test at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Administration at the beginning of the academic year 2004. That evaluation included exercises such as true or false expression recognition, interpretation of meanings applying fracions in simple problem situations.This analysis enabled the detection of the students' evident errors, which demostrated their difficulties in realizing the pertinent connections among the concepts to be applied, lack of rigour and significance of symbolism.

Source text - English Jamaican Curried Chicken 1 whole chicken, about 3 to 4 pounds Juice of 2 fresh limes 3 large garlic cloves, finely minced 2 green onions, finely chopped 1/4 inch fresh ginger, peeled and finely minced 1 1/2 tablespoons curry powder 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1 teaspoon sugar 2 teaspoons salt 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 cups water 3 medium potatoes, washed and cubed Suggested Accompaniments: Mango Chutney Slices of dried coconut Fresh pineapple chunks Orange segments Ripe bananas 1. Cut chicken in 1 1/2 to 2-inch serving pieces. Squeeze the juice of the limes into a large bowl of water; wash the chicken pieces in the water and drain. 2. In small bowl mix the garlic, green onions and ginger; allow flavors to blend for 30 minutes. 3. Mix curry powder and allspice with sugar and salt. Rub spice mixture and the garlic mixture onto the chicken. Place in a glass bowl; cover and allow to "marinate" for 1 hour. 4. In large heavy skillet, brown chicken in hot oil over medium-high heat. Add the water and potatoes. As soon as liquid starts to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until chicken is cooked, approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Chicken should be tender and juices run clear. 5. Dress up curried chicken with accompaniments served with flair. The usual accompaniment is Mango Chutney, but slices of dried coconut, pineapple chunks, orange segments, ripe bananas, will do.
