Bio
I was born in 1953 in Brussels, Belgium, frenchspeaking but with Flemish as a kind of second mother language...(my youngest boy passed his first school years in a Flemish school). I studied latin and greek and then got my "master" in translation (French, English, Spanish) in 1975.

I then took another way and passed a 33 years carreer in the biggest Belgian bank where I ended as Senior Manager. During my carreer, I also got a degree in Dutch (Flemish), I learned Italian and travelled a lot in Europe as responsible for relations with foreign banks.

In 2009, I was "granted" an Early Departure Plan. This gave me the opportunity to go back to the roots and start my translation business and I created "Langues en Poche". Since then, I specialised in financial translations (banks, economy, business...) from Dutch to French. Although I am not intending to have a full time job (but I can work full time on a specific request), more and more translation agencies take advantage of my flexibility and trust my financial competence. This allows me to to keep in touch, doing what I love to do : translate...

I like playing guitar (I am currently learning blue grass banjo and mandoline as I now play - and dance - with a local trad group), making photographs, cycling and walking. And a lot of reading in various languages.
