I have been working for more than ten years translating literature and texts on social sciences (e-learning, education, human resources) and video games, as well as life sciences, press releases, and texts on international cooperation. Part of that work includes:

Translation and proofreading of medical/pharmaceutical texts, consent forms, questionnaires, forms for patient registration processes, drug detection systems, prescription information.


VIDEOGAMES:
Translation of texts for videogames: Fist of the Northern Star, City Of Abandoned Ships, The Hardy Boys; Nintendo games such as Geography, Super Mario Bros and Yoga for Wii; easier games for mobile phones.


EDUCATION:
Translation and proofreading of stories for students (Elementary, Junior High School), intermediate Spanish-learning programs designed for English speakers and handbooks.


SOCIAL SCIENCES:
Translation of texts on philosophy and sociology; among them: “An African Perspective on Justice and Racism”, by Mogobe B. Ramose;
"Does Religion Promote Violence?", by Augustine Perumalil; “On Visible and Invisible Effects of Violence”, by Johan Galtung.


INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION:
Projects for NGOs on international development: politics, education and development in India and Latin America. Translation and proofreading for CIDSE, Alboan, and Defence for Children International on human rights, debt relief, and children in prison. Translation of press releases for UNDP International Policy Center for Inclusive Growth; material for UNISDR - International Recovery Platform.

Translation and proofreading of literary texts (books, essays, children's stories).
