I was born in Paraguay and my mother tongue is Spanish. I have studied, lived and worked in the USA and Australia for a total of 16 years, and have worked in Brazil for 2 years.

My primary activity is centered on my daytime work as an information technology consultant, specialized in the areas of databases, data analysis and statistics. Being quite successful in IT, I'm increasing my involvement in translation/interpretation work.

Most of my translation experience occurred since 1995, during the times when I was in Paraguay. Around 80% of my assignments were in technical areas: computers, telecommunications, engineering and mathematics; the rest being mostly legal, medical and short documents. As per quantity, I have probably translated over 2,000 pages by now; 60% of them were English to Spanish, 25% Spanish to English, 10% English to Guarani, and 5% Portuguese to English.

I take pride in my work. That means: if you hire me, your satisfaction in every respect will be the minimum standard that I set for myself.
