Translation - English The process through which an aquifer receives water is called recharge. Natural recharge depends mainly on precipitation rates and the balance among infiltration, drainage and evaporation. Thus, the topography of the area, the nature of the soil and the present situation of vegetation cover play a fundamental role in the recharge of aquifers.
