Summary:A summary of initial steps that should be taken in order to enter the translation industry successfully. You will learn what is required to start your translation business; how to approach your first customers, and what the market seeks.
Description
You will need to prepare properly for your successful translators career start. The main points on which you should focus on are described in this course in order to facilitate your transition into the market as an active translator.

The main points which you should focus on are the following:

- Everyday Tools (technology in order to get organized initially)
- CAT-Tools (what you will really need, what is offered free of charge - what do clients ask for)
- Promotion (how, where and how much will it cost you)
- Potential customers (translation agencies, companies, direct clients - who, when, at what price)
- Pricing policy (where to start on the right foot)
- Experience (how to obtain experience as a new freelancer)
- Differentiation in the market (what makes you stand out from the crowd)

Here is some feedback from others on these course's trainer:

"I was extremely satisfied with the way Mrs. Irene Koukia made her presentation. She gave a thorough and easy to comprehend introduction for beginner translators. I especially enjoyed her frank manner and the encouraging comments at the end of her presentation."
Eleni Polychronidou

"Irene was extremely generous with her resources and was willing to provide additional information upon my request. Couldn't have hoped for a more co-operative trainer!"
