Bio: Ronnie Halpern has an MA in Translation from the University of Sheffield, where he also taught the CAT module. After graduating in French and Spanish from the University of Nottingham he taught these languages and then went to work in the IT industry for a number of software companies in various roles including technical support, training, account management, project management and sales. In 1995 these two sets of experience were combined when he joined a localization company specialising in web sites and games software. He subsequently joined Trados UK as Operations Manager. He has been working as a freelance translator and trainer since 2001.
