En esta sesión veremos cómo se estructura un archivo típico de Excel de un proyecto de localización de videojuegos. Asimismo, estudiaremos cómo podemos hacer frente a las etiquetas específicas de la localización de videojuegos, así como a las limitaciones de caracteres y a las variables.

In this session, we will see how a typical Excel file looks like in the case of video game projects and how we can work faster with Excel. We will also see how to deal with specific tags in video game localization projects, as well as character limitations and variables.

Target audience
Anyone with experience in translation and with interest in video games. Prior experience in localization may be useful, but it’s not a prerequisite for attending these training sessions. There will some translation examples from English into Spanish, but they will be described in a way that serve for all languages.

I translate from English into Portuguese, and as this course will be addressed in Spanish, I'd like to know if its content might be applicable for other target languages rather than Spanish.
