<h1 lang="en-GB" align="center" style="margin-top: 0cm;" class="western"> Wordfast Intermediate Training - Level 2</h1> ProZ.com would like to invite you to attend the first co-sponsored Wordfast Intermediate Training (Level 2) on November 5th and 6th in Nice, France. This is a great opportunity for you to learn how to use the more advanced features of Wordfast, meet other translators who use Wordfast, and take advantage of a business trip to visit the lovely city of Nice and its surroundings. The training will be conducted in English by John Di Rico. The first day will be devoted to optimizing translation memory and glossary management and using the BTM, VLTM, and MT to speed up your workflow. The second day will focus on handling specific file types including: HTML, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and faxes. We'll also look at other software applications that complement Wordfast (PlusTools, Werecat, Olifant, Intelliwebsearch). Time permitting and depending on user needs, we'll learn how to create a translation memory from past translations using the alignment function of PlusTools. The training will last two full days. John has negotiated special discount rates at hotels for training participants. The cost is €260 including tax. For French participants who would like to use their annual government-sponsored training stipend to pay for the training (FIF-PL, DIF), an additional administrative fee of €115 will be assessed. Bio: John Di Rico traduis depuis 2005 et se spécialise dans la traduction financière et marketing du français vers l'anglais. Son entreprise actuelle, ApexTra, est basée à Nice en France.

John a commencé à proposer des formations professionnelles pour traducteurs en 2006. Il forme des traducteurs à l'utilisation des logiciels Wordfast ainsi qu'à la gestion de projet. Il a également enseigné l'anglais en France et au Vietnam et est un formateur certifié par la JCI pour l'enseignement aux adultes. Enfin, depuis 2007, il organise des congrès professionnels de traducteurs en France avec le concours de ProZ.com.

En 2010-2011, John a voyagé autour du monde et a formé plus de 75 traducteurs dans 15 pays, y compris les traducteurs de la Mission des Nations Unies au Timor oriental. Il a également représenté Wordfast LLC à de nombreuses conférences professionnelles, notamment des conférences de l'American Translators' Association, d'IMTT Language and Technology et de GALA.
