Previously, Philo was Senior Globaliz...ation Advisor at T-Systems headquarters (Deutsche Telekom AG) in southern Germany. He was responsible for initiating Corporate Globalization Services integrating multi-lingual and cross-cultural service resources from over 30 countries into one integrated organizational development service framework.
Working closely with board members, department heads, foreign subsidiaries and providers, he built a team of 650 colleagues applying international team-driven leadership and collective empowerment methods. Leveraging his IT consulting and development background, Philo architected multiple Web 2.0 Social Collaboration solutions for the company. His holistic approach created consistently authentic and sustained customer service experiences throughout the group.
After a career start as operations manager with Apple Corporation Korea, Philo cofounded a business technology company in San Francisco in 1992 where he published a multilingual, information and eLearning system (web 2.0) with Stanford Medical Center serving operating room staff and medical equipment manufacturers. This was followed by the development of the world’s first web-based automobile configurator and inventory management system (web 2.0) for Ford Germany in 1996.
Philo is an active thought leader, entrepreneur, teacher, advisor, instructor and speaker. Philo, a native-born San Franciscan and U. S. citizen, has been living in southern Germany since 1995 with his wife, a native-born Bavarian. They enthusiastically co-manage an active, eleven-year-old son.
A former university sports teacher and athletic equipment patent holder, Philo is an active outdoors and hobbyist. He earned a Bachelors degree in International Economics from the University of Utah.
Philo is also lecturing cross-culture management and Intercultural Relations at the University of Wuerzburg with the Economics faculty, the Institute for Political Science and the School of Law.
