Je me lance en tant qu'indépendante et je souhaiterais éviter d'acheter Trados car j'en connais les limites... J'ai entendu beaucoup de bien de WordFast et de Similis, mais est-il nécessaire d'avoir MS Word pour les utiliser ? Cela m'embêterait car j'utilise Open Office et je n'ai aucune envie d'investir dans le pack Office!

Oui, Wordfast et Similis ont tous deux besoin de Word pour fonctionner (comme Trados d'ailleurs).
Il existe d'autres outils de TAO ne necessitant pas Word, notamment OmegaT et Heartsome.

Déjà Vu DVX est entièrement compatible avec Open Office. Il vous permet de traiter un ou plusieurs fichiers Word, Excel et PowerPoint (lus par Open Office) et les visualiser et manipuler comme s'il s'agissait d'un seul fichier. Il faut les convertir au format Open Office avant de les importer dans un projet DV puis, une fois traduits, les converter à nouveau au format MS Office pour les livrer au client. Il permet également de traiter une vingtaine d'autres formats de fichiers.
