Hi all,

Hope I'm posting about this in the right place. I haven't been receiving job notifications at all. I checked my dashboard settings, and everything seems to be set up properly. I get all the Kudos posts that I should, so am curious what I might be doing wrong. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

In my case, I had "immediate alerts" on for years, yet, I never receive email notifications for a vast majority of jobs for these language pairs. Is there an explanation for this? It's been going on for years.

I only get a job email notification once in a blue moon (I'd say for about 5% of all jobs).

Thank you for mentioning your problem. I have now updated your settings, so you should start receiving notifications now.

The problem was that you had not declared "Translation" as a service under each of your language pairs, at the moment of declaring them. As most job postings request translation services, you were not being sent notifications for them.

This can be edited from https://www.proz.com/settings/languages#pairs , by clicking the pencil icon next to each language pair. That will let you edit the services for each language pair.

Hello,

In my case, I used to receive job alerts for my language combinations, but even if I didn't change anything in the job alert settings, I stopped receiving them about two weeks ago.

Today I checked the settings, and they were exactly as I left them. What could be the problem?

Hi Cristina,

It looks like the email address you have in your profile has been marked as disabled-- this happens after ProZ.com attempts several times to send notifications to your email address unsuccessfully. I have re-enabled it, but if the issue continues you may need to check with your email provider to find out what is preventing delivery from ProZ.com (and potentially other senders).
