Soft return using SHIFT+ENTER

I am using OmegaT 3.5.2.
In order for generation of vertical comparison of source and target contents in terms of paragraph, I choose paragraph segmentation way (by unchecking sentence based segmentation). In translation, I press "SHIFT+ENTER" at the end of each source content (it is propagated in target segment directly), followed by writing target content.

Do I lose any configuration?

That's a "feature" of Microsoft's format.
Do I lose any configuration?

In Options > File Filters, check Preserve spaces for all tags.

Yes, sorry, you are right. "Preserve spaces" preserve the number of whitespace characters, but they are all considered spaces by Word.

You could use any character(e.g., "#") between source and target paragraphs, and then do a search and replace in the target Word document.

Workable idea Nov 17, 2015

Dear Didier,

This is a great idea, and was a method I used in writing investment analysis program using Perl few years ago. It shoud be workable in Word, too. How come I forget this method.
