I uninstalled WF and re-uploaded it and it seems to work now. 'you can always use Wordfast Anywhere to translate your TXML's' I tried that too, but I couldn't get my head around it - it didn't connect to my TM, even though I think I followed the sequence correctly so I wasn't able to continue with the job I was working on. It isn't very intuitive, and I'm not likely to use it again. 'Does the JVM path indicated in wordfast.ini (file located in the WFP installation... @Gerry The times this has happened to me or to other people it was always related to having changed the memory usage settings for Wordfast. Was that the case, had you changed your memory settings? | | | Gerry Vickers United Kingdom Local time: 10:02 Member (2007) Czech to English + ... TOPIC STARTER
Hi Alex As you can probably tell, my IT expertise is not that in-depth so if any memory settings were changed this would have happened spontaneously. I am frequently getting messages saying 'memory is low, close down applications' or similar, even though I am hardly using anything. I would therefore be most grateful if you could share your knowledge of improving memory settings as although this machine is supposed to be 'sophisticated and powerful' (Dell Vostro 3750), I find t... I would therefore be most grateful if you could share your knowledge of improving memory settings as although this machine is supposed to be 'sophisticated and powerful' (Dell Vostro 3750), I find that neither is the case compared with older and supposedly less powerful machines that I have had in the past. Hi Gerry If you didn't change the memory preferences then that wasn't the problem, as the problem I was referring to is a result of a change the user makes not something the program does on its own. As regards your low memory messages it depends a lot on the amount of ram your system has and the amount of running programs you have, also when do you get these messages are you using a particular program? | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » URGENT! could not create the java virtual machine Protemos translation business management system | Create your account in minutes, and start working! 3-month trial for agencies, and free for freelancers!
