I can't tell yet about 2012. My best year ever was 2002. These two years were both about 30% above my usual average.

Obviously, it's too early to tell what 2012 will bring. Why has this been included in the poll at all?
(My best year ever was 2008, closely followed by 2005.)

The results of this poll cannot be analyzed objectively. How about all the translators who have been in the business only since last year? Or who switched from part-time to full-time only recently?
Besides, is it about income from language-related activities or say, investments, as well?

funily enough, in the middle of the financial crisis, and I had an increase by about 25% over 2008.
2010 was almost the same, 2011 was a bit quiter - from my side, had to "calm down" a bit, but back up and running for a new "high"

because there was a time before translations when I actualy made really good money, working in Norway. If the rest of 2012 continues as well as the first two months, I may reach the same level this year - if I don't correct for inflation...
