HI all,

I am processing xls files with Trados 2007's TagEditor (v. 8.3.0.863 - Build 863). When I call the Repalce tool (Ctrl H), the two Replace buttons do not lit (become active). It's just looks and works like the Find tool. Does anybody know any tip or workaround to solve this problem?

In Tageditor Tools/Options/Protection tab uncheck Protect Document checkbox.

Hi,

It is not possible to modify the text outside an open segment if the "Protect document" setting is active.

Go to Tools -> Options -> Protection tab and uncheck "Protect document".

It is a shame that there is no reference to this simple but definitely important condition (unchecking Protect Document required) in the TagEditor Help guide.
