Hi,
We received several XML files exported from our client's web application, we asked our engineer to prepare the files - mark up them to get translatable items, most of elements were handled properly, but few embedded html tags are still in plain text format, we tried the Snippet mark-up plugin in TagEditor but no luck on it as they are neither CDATA element or Cell element. Please see below one section of example:

The tags of "<font size =5>", "</font>", "<br>", "<p>", "<b>", "</b>", "</p>" etc. couldn't be marked up as internal tags successfully, while the others (say,<texts>, <entry>, <string> etc.) were done well by the created tag settings file .
Can anyone help? Any tips are welcome.

As far as I can see, you really need to know the specifics of the XML dialect being used, probably XHTML in this case. Maybe it has been mixed up with HTML proper, or your translation tool has mangled the tags. Best thing you can do is to tell your engineer to load the file into an XML-capable source editor (there are free ones out there) which is able to validate against the DTD/schema or whatever is providing the syntax.
