In the last month I worked only on one videogame title, being the videogaming industry one of the fields I work in, actually my favorite.

Today I read the following article:

I thought that it might have been nice to share it with you guys, who might be wondering, just like me, what is going to happen in the near future.

In order to win back their dwindeling clientele, companies might decide to go for better quality??
While the language aspect of a game only comes in at the later stages of the game, it does (for some games at least) define a large part of the playability (or at least the gamer's understanding) of the game...

So with a multi-million dollar development of a game, one of the closing stages of the game, to convert it into multiple languages, they might spend a few extra dollars t

... it's not like saving a few bucks on translation is going to same them, while spendig a few more, might add to the appeal of the game...

That's how it should be, and if I were to win the lottery I would surely invest in this market the way you suggest.

Unfortunately at the moment also huge MMMORPGs producers seem to focus on making a profit out of initial subscriptions rather than focusing on quality and playability over time (e.g. Star Trek).

It's a sad story, I'll go back to dream mode as well.
