Does new rates feature take account of translation vs proofreading?

I've just submitted a proofreading job and been told that my specified budget is below the average minimum rate. In fact, the maximum rate I specified for *proofreading* was above many of the rates that translators have offered to me for *translation* in that language pair.
I know from past experience that the mean "community rates" are in reality at odds with what in practice translators offer on particular jobs, but I just wanted to sense-check: does this indication of the budget ... See more

I know from past experience that the mean "community rates" are in reality at odds with what in practice translators offer on particular jobs, but I just wanted to sense-check: does this indication of the budget information in the new job system take account of what type of job you're posting, or is the message simply telling me that my proofreading budget was below the average translation budget?
At the moment, the average rate information is for translation work only, yes. One of the planned changes is to include the kind of differentiation you mention in the future.

i.e, if I accept only translation jobs for 0.10 or higher, and somebody posts a proofreading job at 0,06 or something, will I be send a Job notification?
my proofreading rate is on my profile I guess, but I think there was one time a couple of weeks ago, I did not get a notification - for something that was really interesting - unfortunately I had to find out via the site.....
