I lied Feb 28, 2010

I selected "working out at the gym," but I only started recently and it's not a regular thing. When I saw how many colleagues were honest and said they don't, I was humbled.

Personal trainer Feb 28, 2010

Working from home it's hard to NOT be sedentary... When I used to work in-house I would walk 3.5km to and from work (7 in all), by choice, not necessity. 2 years and 10 pounds later I invested in a personal trainer who comes by twice a week. Best investment ever!

Is it really a healthy profession? Feb 28, 2010

Colleagues, it seems that we don't have the healthiest profession - we sit in front of the computer all the time ruining our eyesight and one third of us don't even exercise (i belong to this group). Now that i realize it i am going to the gym!)))

Yoga Feb 28, 2010

I practice an hour of yoga 4 or 5 days a week for an hour. If you do it properly is a great work out!
This page which is really helpful and maybe inspiring for some of you too:

Swimming Feb 28, 2010

I try to go swimming at least three to four times during the winter season and I will be going every day once the outdoor pool season starts.
Since I love being outside I enjoy going for long walks as well, and I make a point of using the stairs in my house as often as possible.

I had to put other as I do a combination of the activites in the list. Walking the dogs is the most regular on a twice-daily basis, but I also do dance and yoga, plus play badminton in the winter and tennis (badly) in the summer. Oh and skiing - but unfortunately only once a year, more's the pity! Sometimes it's an effort to down tools and make yourself go out, but I always feel and work so much better once I've exercised. Other - personal trianer & swimming Feb 28, 2010

I also have a personal trainer. I've tried going to spin classes, circuit training, yoga, playing squash and many more but none has been as effective as my trainer in getting me fit and healthy and losing the weight I've put on since becoming self employed. I give up to easily on my own - she knows my limits and pushes me to reach them and improve whereas working alone I'm mainly just standing still with my fitness level. Not as cheap as joining a gym, but much better value for money.

I walk with dogs Feb 28, 2010

I have two dogs -- four year old bordercollie and 7 month old papipoo. They always bugging me to go walk, so walking with them 1/2 mile 2, 3 times a day is time to get my mind refreshed, and get proper exercise.
Of course you have to wonder who is taking who to walk. Often time I feel like they are the one who is walking me

In case you don't know what kind of breed papipoo is, it is a mix of papillon and poodle
