Stickstoff wird benötigt, da er in allen Lebewesen Bestandteil von Aminosäuren in Proteinen und von DNA ist. Doch befindet sich der irdische Stickstoff (1015 Tonnen) zu 99 % in der Erdatmosphäre, von wo ihn nur spezielle Bakterien, insbesondere Cyanobakterien, Knöllchenbakterien, und – durch Symbiose mit derartigen Bakterien an bzw. in ihren Wurzeln – auch einige wenige Pflanzen aufnehmen können. Source text - English In 1993 Dr. Grob directed the Hoasca Project, the first in-depth study of the physical and psychological effects of ayahuasca on humans. He and his team went to Brazil, where the plant mixture can be taken legally, to study members of a church, the União do Vegetal (UDV), who use ayahuasca as a sacrament, and compared them to a control group that had never ingested the substance. The studies found that all the ayahuasca-using UDV members had experienced remission without recurrence of their addictions, depression, or anxiety disorders. Unlike most common anti-depressants, which Grob says can create such high levels of serotonin that cells may actually compensate by losing many of their serotonin receptors, the Hoasca Project showed that ayahuasca strongly enhances the body’s ability to absorb the serotonin that’s naturally there [4]. 'Ayahuasca is perhaps a far more sophisticated and effective way to treat depression than SSRIs [antidepressant drugs],' Grob concludes, adding that the use of SSRIs is 'a rather crude way' of doing it.

Source text - English Sonic Youth is an American alternative rock band formed in New York City in 1981. Current personnel are Thurston Moore (vocals and guitar), Kim Gordon (vocals, bass, guitar), Lee Ranaldo (vocals and guitar), Steve Shelley (drums) and touring bassist Mark Ibold.
In their early career, Sonic Youth was associated with the No Wave art and music scene in New York City. Part of the first wave of American noise rock groups, the band carried out their interpretation of the hardcore punk ethos throughout the evolving American indie underground that focused more on the DIY ethic of the genre rather than its specific sound.
Sonic Youth has a wide variety of influences, ranging from Patti Smith to John Cage to 13th Floor Elevators. Source text - English The current study was designed to compare the immunogenic and immunoprophylactic properties of native (nFh12) and recombinant (rFh15) antigens from Fasciola hepatica in rabbits vaccinated twice compared with non-vaccinated infection controls. Levels of specific anti-nFh12 y anti-rFh15 antibodies were significantly higher in the rabbits vaccinated twice compared with non-vaccinated infection controls. A reduction of 40% in worm burdens was found in rabbits immunized with nFh12 and infected 4 weeks after the second immunization. The recombinant vaccine induced lesser levels of protection than the native one, suggesting that both molecules may have slightly differences either in immunogenicity or in their configuration. Further biochemical studies are required to define these differences. The mean length of flukes recovered was always smaller in all vaccinated rabbits. In addition, infected control rabbits had higher gamma glutamil transferase (GGT) levels than immunized rabbits. Lastly, gross anatomic observation always showed fewer liver lesions in all vaccinated rabbits than in controls. This finding clearly supports the possibility of vaccination regimes in fasciolosis.
