Bio

I'm a linguist, and native speaker of Spanish (from Puerto Rico). My professional background is in Romance Languages (Italian, Spanish, French) and Communications. I hold a PhD in Communications and Media, with a focus on Latin American and USA Cultural Studies. My Masters degree is in Romance Languages, Linguistics and Literature in Italian.

I've specialized in areas of Higher Education, Social Sciences, Qualitative Research and Theory, Communications, History, Immigrant Communities, at-risk youth, and Immigration Law - supporting forms and documentation (I was partially accredited by the DoJ to do partial legal rep for clients). I am a professor at the college level for Speech, Spanish and Italian, and I have experience in the nonprofit world as it pertains to youth at risk of homelessness and deportation/immigration issues, and/or Hispanic communities in farming and rural settings in the USA. 

My working languages pairs are: EN / IT <> ES, IT > EN  I've worked as community interpreter for over 10 years, from SP<>EN, and IT<>EN.
