Translation - English Evian natural mineral water again chooses one of the greatest international fashion designers for the design of the annual Special Edition bottle. After Christian Lacroix in 2007, it is now the turn of the French designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Gaultier is aware that pure water is rare and very valuable. This awareness results in an extravagant tribute to the purity of Evian. Large, transparent ice crystals on the bottle refer to the pristine origin in the heart of the French Alps. By playing with the traditional rules Gaultier has designed a bottle that is both contemporary and surprising. The bottle was officially launched in spectacular manner during Paris Fashion Week.
English to Afrikaans: information technology no.1

We can convert documents to PDF, MS word, Tag entry (XML, HTML), etc.
These documents can be easily retrieved. An entire encyclopedia becomes a single CD, which occupies much less space.
We can convert records containing employee details, inventory details, purchase details etc., to files of types like Access, Oracle, Excel, etc. These are called the database format from which multiple users can retrieve data at ease from different locations at the same time.
Translation - Afrikaans Voorbeeld:
Translation - English Working Procedure and specification for the melting of unalloyed and low alloyed steel in a basic electric arc furnace.
The melting process is subdivided into five work sections:
• Charging the furnace
• The melting down
• Oxygen Refining
• Refining and Purifying (reduction and desulphurisation phase)
• Tapping and final deoxidation
Feeding the arc furnace
Before loading the furnace, the position of the electrodes is established. At the deepest point the electrodes should stay at about 5 to 8 cm above the hearth. Thus a burning of the electrodes into the hearth is prevented
My life journey took me from a troubled South Africa to Holland to Australia. In that period I have been an avid linguist, working traveller, at-home full-time parent to 4 children , alternative education tutor (independent schools), tourism worker, housepainter/manager and care-giver.
Full-time Freelancer since April 2008:
I was born into a Dutch family in South Africa and spoke Dutch, Afrikaans and English as a child. As a teenager I finished high school with English, Afrikaans and German being majors. I traveled to Europe, lived in Holland for 6 years intermittently and in Germany for a few months. I studied French, Italian and Spanish for a year in Holland and continued studies in English , German and French for a further year and a half at a South African university, along with Linguistics. When the kids were old enough I went back to university and also college to study again. I also traveled to Argentina for Tango and to get tutoring in Castellano (Argentinian Spanish).
Experience
At school and beyond I have done many translations from English to Afrikaans and Afrikaans to English in formal and informal situations. I have done translations from English to Dutch and Dutch to English in the years when I worked as a La Leche League NDL leader for LLLI. I studied languages throughout my life. I recently re-entered the fulltime world of translations. Translations and Linguistics are areas I am passionate about and it adds to my love for the written and spoken word and communication in any form. I also write books , not for the purpose of publishing just yet.
I am currently mainly doing editing work as I have gone back to studies.
