Thank you for choosing Cxxx Sxxxx Medical Center’s Emergency Department. Our goal is to provide you with excellent medical care in a timely manner. In order to ensure that the most critical patients are treated first, a registered nurse (RN) will see each patient entering through the waiting room
Once you are called to what we call “Triage” (which is pronounced tree-aj) we record your complaint and complete a medical history as well as take a set of vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirations). Once that is completed, depending on what the RN finds in this initial assessment, you may be brought right back to a room or asked to sit in the waiting room again while we clear a space for you in the back.
We cannot always see patients in the order in which they come in. The qualified RN that reviews all of the patients that come in makes determinations that are based on severity of symptoms and potential threat to life and limb. That is why the lady that signed in 10 minutes after you may actually go first.
There are multiple treatment areas in our emergency department. During extremely busy times, in order to expedite care, we may utilize alternative areas of treatment. This is done to decrease waiting time...

Para que possamos atingir esta meta pacientes em situações graves terao prioridades; uma enfermeira registrada(RN), atenderá cada paciente que entrar na sala de espera.
Uma vez que chamado(a), no qual chamamos ‘’Triagem’’, iremos registrar os seus sintomas e completar um histórico médico, tambem iremos checar importantes detalhes fisicos como: (temperatura, pressão arterial, pulsação e respiração). Uma vez completos todos este procedimentos, e dependendo da avaliação da enfermeira (RN), você será levado(a) para a área de tratamento ou pediremos que volte a sentar na sala de espera para que possamos achar um espaço disponivel a você na parte de trás.
Infelizmente nós não poderemos atender pacientes por ordem de chegada. O RN qualificado, examina, verifica e decide a ordem de todos os pacientes que entram na ala de atendimento, dependendo da severidade dos sintomas e potencialmente ameaça de vida ou integridade física. Por este motivo a senhora que entrou dez minutos depois que você receberá atendimento primeiro.
Nós temos múltiplas áreas de tratamento no nosso departamento de emergência. Durante os horários de maiores movimentos, para que possamos agilizar o atendimento, talvez possamos utilizar areas alternativas para tratamento. Isto será feito para diminuir o tempo de espera...
