La Manga Club Resort inaugurada en octubre de 1972 por un grupo de empresarios norteamericanos encabezados por Gregory Peters, en la actualidad está gestionada por Inmogolf, S.A., compañía subsidiaria de la multinacional P&O, líder mundial en navegación, inmobiliaria, transporte, ocio y construcción.
El complejo reúne, junto al encanto residencial del pequeño pueblo español que forman los apartamentos de Las Lomas, un amplio abanico de opciones deportivas y de ocio.
— Tres campos de golf de 18 hoyos cada uno; el Campo Sur es un campo largo y ha sido sede de muchos campeonatos a nivel internacional. Fue diseñado por Robert D. Putman y reformado en los últimos años por Arnold Palmer. El Campo Norte, diseñado también por Putman, es un poco más corto pero no menos desafiante. Por último, el Campo Oeste, diseñado por Dave Thomas cuenta con inclinadas calles bordeadas de pinos e inmejorables vistas panorámicas. Además cuenta con Academia de golf y diversos campos de prácticas. En conjunto está catalogado como uno de los mejores complejos de golf del mundo, por lo que ha sido elegido para disfrutar diversos campeonatos de la PGA Europa.

With an exceptional setting between the Mediterranean Sea and La Manga del Mar Menor, La Manga Club Resort (see Map No1)covers an area of 450 hectares with a beautiful landscape of olive trees, bougainvilleas and palm trees. It has a greater area than the Principality of Monaco. This resort is blessed by a year-round warm and inviting Mediterranean climate which offers those clients with a love for sports a wonderful place to practise their favourite ones. (Our front-page).
La Manga Club Resort was first opened in October 1972 by a group of American businessmen led by Gregory Peters. At present, the resort is managed by Inmogolf, S.A., subsidiary company of multinational P&O, navigation, real estate, shipping, leisure and building Leading Corporation.
Besides its charming, luxury, self-catering Las Lomas apartments, a recreation of a typical Spanish Village, a wide selection of sports and other leisure pursuits are also available at La Manga Club Resort.
- Three 18-hole championship golf courses; initially designed by Robert D. Putman and lately redeveloped by Arnold Palmer, the South Course is a long course which has hosted many international golf championships. The North Course, also designed by Putman, is a bit shorter but not less challenging. Finally, the West Course, designed by Dave Thomas, has quite hilly, lined by pine trees fairways and a truly stunning panoramic view. La Manga Club is one of the world’s greatest golf developments; therefore it’s been selected to host several tournaments of the European PGA Championship.
- Tennis Centre: considered as one of the finest outdoor facilities in Europe, La Manga Club Tennis Centre has played host on a number of occasions to such prestigious world tennis events as the Davis Cup or the Fed Cup. It has 18 tennis courts of different court surfaces and features (clay courts, synthetic grass (Astro Turf) courts and hard courts), all of them illuminated. These floodlit courts and the wonderful climate of the area make this sport practicable all year round, and at any time. There are different types of term policies. Level term provides a consistent amount of insurance. Decreasing term, which is an ideal type of insurance to cover any shrinking debt obligation, starts with a specified face amount which decreases annually until it reaches zero at policy expiration. Increasing term provides a growing amount of insurance, but the need for this type of protection is rare.
Many term policies are renewable, which means they may be renewed without providing evidence of good health until a specified age. However, because of an insured's advancing mortality (increasing chance of death at higher ages), renewal premiums will always be higher than previous premiums. Many term policies are also convertible, which means they may be exchanged for another type of policy, such as whole life.
Whole life insurance, sometimes called straight life or permanent life, is protection that can be kept as long as you live.
You can choose to pay a premium that doesn't rise as you grow older, averaging the cost of the policy over your life.
Whole life insurance has a "cash value" or the sum that grows over the years with taxes deferred. If you cancel the policy, you receive a lump sum. You pay taxes only if the cash value plus any dividends exceeds the sum of premiums paid, according to the American Council of Life Insurance.
Whole Life Accumulates Value
Whole life insurance is a permanent form of insurance protection that combines a death benefit with cash value accumulations. The face amount is constant, and this amount would be paid if the insured dies at any time while the policy is in effect. Premium payments are fixed and remain the same from the original effective date to the maturity date. The policy is designed to mature at age 100-the age when premium payments would end and the cash value would equal the face amount. At maturity, the face amount would be paid to an insured who is still living.
Although whole life policies are among the most common forms of life insurance sold, most individuals do not plan on paying premiums until age 100. Many of us do not expect to live until that age. More commonly, whole life insurance is used as a form of level protection during the income producing years. At retirement, many people then begin to use the accumulated cash value to supplement retirement income.
This type of life insurance plays an important role in financial planning for many families. In addition to the death benefit or eventual return of cash value, the policy has some other significant features. During a financial emergency, policy loans may be taken and the full policy values may later be restored. If the contract is a participating policy, it may also pay dividends.

Hay diferentes tipos de pólizas a término. El seguro de vida a término nivelado proporciona un capital asegurado constante. El seguro a término-decreciente es un tipo de seguro de vida ideal para cubrir deudas que disminuyen con el tiempo, comenzando con un valor nominal concreto que va decreciendo anualmente hasta alcanzar el valor cero en el momento de vencimiento de la póliza. Muchas pólizas a término son también convertibles, esto es, pasado un tiempo se pueden cambiar a otro tipo de póliza, como por ejemplo a pólizas de seguro de vida permanente.
Éstas últimas, también conocidas como pólizas de seguro de vida universal, pueden dar cobertura durante toda la vida, hasta el fallecimiento.
Se puede elegir pagar una prima que no vaya incrementando con la edad, sino que se calcule en base a una media de lo que sería el coste de la póliza a lo largo de toda la vida del asegurado.
Los seguros de vida permanentes tienen un “valor al contado” o una suma que aumenta a lo largo de los años, con impuestos diferidos. Si se cancela la póliza, se recibe una cantidad estimada . Sólo se pagarían impuestos en el caso de que el total de este valor al contado más los dividendos generados superase la suma total de las primas pagadas, según el Consejo Americano de Seguros de Vida.
Los seguros de vida permanentes acumulan valor.
Un seguro de vida permanente es una forma de tener una cobertura asegurada de manera permanente que combina la indemnización por fallecimiento con las acumulaciones de valor al contado. El valor nominal es constante, y se le pagaría íntegramente al asegurado en caso de fallecimiento del mismo durante la vigencia de la póliza. Los pagos de las primas son fijos y permanecen constantes desde la fecha de entrada en vigor de la póliza hasta su vencimiento. La póliza está diseñada para vencer a la edad de 100 años, edad en que los pagos de la prima finalizarían y el valor al contado igualaría al valor nominal. Al vencimiento, el nominal se pagaría al asegurado, si aún viviera .
A pesar de que las pólizas de seguros de vida permanentes son unas de las más contratadas, la mayoría de las personas no pretenden pagar primas hasta la edad de 100 años. Muchos de nosotros no esperamos vivir hasta esa edad. Los seguros de vida permanentes se usan de manera más frecuente como forma de protección nivelada durante los años activos. A partir de la jubilación, mucha gente comienza a usar este valor al contado acumulado como complemento de su pensión de jubilación.
Este tipo de seguro de vida juega un papel importante en el planteamiento financiero familiar de muchas familias. Además la indemnización por fallecimiento o la posible devolución del valor al contado, la póliza cuenta con algunas otras características significantes. En caso de una emergencia financiera, pueden pedirse préstamos contra las pólizas y el valor total de la póliza puede devolverse más adelante. Si el contrato es de una póliza con participación, puede incluso dar dividendos.

Petra Kelly war eine der wichtigsten Vorkämpferinnen der
ökologischen und der weltweiten Friedensbewegung. Diese Bewegung
entstand Mitte der 70er Jahre mit dem Ziel, das Denken und Handeln
der Menschen und in der Folge die lokale, nationale und internationale
Politik radikal zu verändern.
Geboren am 29.11.1947 arbeitete Petra Kelly nach ihrem Studium der
politischen Wissenschaften bei der Europäischen Kommission in
Brüssel. Seit 1980 gehörte sie als eine der Mitgründerinnen der Partei
der Grünen an, von 1983 bis 1990 war sie Mitglied des Deutschen
Bundestags. Am 1.10.1992 wurde Petra Kelly in Bonn erschossen.
Ohne Petra Kellys Ideen, ohne ihre Ausstrahlung und ihr selbstloses
Engagement ist die Geschichte der grünen Bewegung kaum denkbar.
Petra Kelly hat entscheidenden Anteil daran, wenn nach Jahrzehnten
schrankenloser Ausbeutung das Bewusstsein gewachsen ist, dass der
Raubbau an den natürlichen Lebensgrundlagen nicht länger
verantwortbar ist und dass die Durchsetzung der Menschenrechte
elementarer Bestandteil jeglicher Politik sein muss.
Mit dem Ziel, die Ideen und die politische Botschaft Petra Kellys auch
nach ihrem tragischen Tod weiterleben zu lassen, entstand 1997 die
Petra-Kelly-Stiftung - das grünnahe bayerische Bildungswerk für
Demokratie und Ökologie in der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung e.V.

Unsere Ziele
Die Petra-Kelly-Stiftung bietet den Rahmen dafür, die Probleme der
Gegenwart und der Zukunft ohne tagespolitische "Sachzwänge" zu
diskutieren. Gerade weil sie nicht den Mühlen der Alltagspolitik und
ständigem Kompromisszwang ausgesetzt ist, kann die Stiftung eine
äußerst produktive Rolle in der Entwicklung neuer Problemlösungen
spielen.
Die Petra-Kelly-Stiftung fühlt sich dabei einer Erkenntnis ihrer
Namensgeberin besonders verpflichtet: Neue Ideen entstehen oft nicht
in den Zentren, sondern am Rande der Gesellschaft. Es sind immer
wieder Einzelne oder Gruppen, die gesellschaftliche Innovationen
vorausdenken und zunächst diffusen Unzufriedenheiten oder Ideen ein
Ziel, einen Begriff und eine Richtung geben.
Die Erfahrung zeigt: Solche Ideen können - einmal vorhanden - in
Institutionen von Wirtschaft, Staat und Gesellschaft hineingetragen
werden. Nur selten aber werden sie in diesen Institutionen geboren. Sie
entstehen meist in sozialen Bewegungen und Initiativen, im kulturellen
oder wissenschaftlichen Bereich: überall dort, wo Menschen kreativ
über die Herausforderungen unserer Zeit nachdenken. Solche
Menschen und Gruppen sucht die Petra-Kelly-Stiftung für ihre Arbeit.
Wir wollen ihnen ein Forum bieten und sie mit GesprächspartnerInnen
aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft, Politik oder Kultur zusammenbringen.
Ein Ort der Begegnung
Grundgedanke und das Ziel der Petra-Kelly-Stiftung ist es, in Bayern
einen Ort zu schaffen, an dem das Nachdenken über notwendige
Veränderungen vorankommen kann. Ein Ort der Begegnung und der
Debatte, eine Werkstätte für neue Ideen und Ansätze in Politik,
Wirtschaft und Kultur.
Was die Menschen, die in dieser Stiftung zusammenkommen,
verbinden soll, ist das politische Erbe Petra Kellys: das Eintreten für
mehr Demokratie und soziale Gerechtigkeit, für die volle rechtliche und
praktische Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern, für Toleranz,
Integration und den Schutz von Minderheiten, für die weltweite
Anerkennung der Menschenrechte, für Frieden und Abrüstung, für den
Schutz unserer Umwelt und für die Verwirklichung einer nachhaltigen
Wirtschafts- und Lebensweise.
Petra Kelly fue una de las más importantes defensoras de la ecología y del movimiento pacifista mundia. Éste movimiento surgió a mitad de los años setenta con el objetivo de influir en la forma de pensar y actuar de la gente para cambiar de manera radical la política local, nacional y internacional.
Nació el 29 de noviembre de 1947. Tras sus estudios de ciencias políticas, Petra Kelly trabajó para la Comisión Europea en Bruselas. Desde 1980 figura como uno de los miembros fundadores del partido de los Verdes. Entre 1983 y 1990 fue miembro del Parlamento Alemán. El 10 de enero de 1992 Petra Kelly fue asesinada de un disparo en Bonn.
La historia del movimiento de los Verdes hubiese sido impensable de no haber sido por las ideas de Petra Kelly, su carisma y su dedicación incondicional. Decidió formar parte de este partido para recuperar la conciencia perdida tras décadas de explotación irresponsable de los recursos naturales y para defender que los derechos humanos elementales deben suponer un elemento básico de la política.
Con el objetivo de que las ideas y el mensaje político de Petra Kelly siguieran con vida, tras su trágica muerte, en 1997 se fundó la fundación Petra Kelly – la institución verde de Baviera para la formación democrática y ecológica de la fundación Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung e.V.

La fundación Petra-Kelly ofrece el entorno para tratar los problemas del presente y del futuro sin tener que someterse a las presiones de la política diaria Precisamente al no estar expuesta a los embrollos políticos diarios ni a los continuos compromisos, la fundación puede jugar un papel muy productivo en el desarrollo de nuevas soluciones.
La Fundación se sienteespecialmente obligada a reconocer a la persona que le ha dado el nombre: muchas veces las ideas nuevas no vienen del centro, sino en las tendencias extremas de la sociedad. Continuamente son individuos o grupos los que proponen innovaciones sociales y seguidamente a estas ideas se les da un objetivo, una dirección.
La experiencia muestra que: dichas ideas pueden, una vez propuestas, integrarse en instituciones de economía, gobierno y sociedad. Pero estas ideas, raras veces nacen en estas instituciones. Normalmente se forman en movimientos sociales e iniciativas, en ámbitos culturales o científicos: en todos los sitios donde la gente sea creativa al buscar soluciones para los retos de nuestro tiempo. Este tipo de gente y agrupaciones son las que la fundación Petra Kelly busca para trabajar. Nos gustaría que formaran un foro para debatir cuestiones de científicas, económicas, políticas o culturales.
Un sitio de encuentro
El idea fundamental y el objetivo primordial de la fundación Petra Kelly es crear un lugar en Baviera donde puedan ocurrir los cambios. Un lugar de encuentro y debate, un lugar de trabajo para formar ideas nuevas y hacer cambios en la política, la economía y la cultura.
Lo que debe unir a las personas en esta fundación es la herencia política de Petra Kelly: abogar por conseguir más democracia y justicia social, por la total equiparación de derechos de igualdad para hombres y mujeres, tanto jurídicamente como en la práctica, por la tolerancia, la integración y la protección de las minorías, por el reconocimiento mundial de los derechos humanos, por la paz y el desarme, por la protección del medio ambiente y por la consecución de un economía y forma de vivir sostenible.
