Hello and greetings from Arizona!

I am a graduate of the Engineering Technology program at the University of Central
Florida in Orlando, FL, USA (Bachelor of Science, Engineering Technology, 1998), and have a background in document control in the heavy construction industry. My first career was in the ancillary medical field.

My entire last year was spent refreshing my Spanish at Scottsdale Community College prior to pursuing coursework toward the Master of Latin American Studies at Arizona State University. Along with a lengthy Spanish sequence, I have completed my first survey course in translation and interpretation that rekindled a long-standing love of words, writing and translating dating back to my early school years.

My first large completed project in translation and interpretation survey was the assembly of an electronics/microelectronics glossary, which gave me a sense of the depth and breadth of study required in the translation field today. Also I have had fun becoming familiar with Wordfast.

It is interesting to me as well as very rewarding to have made the long, circular journey back to the study of Spanish and languages in general after an introduction to other cultures and languages early in life.
