Source text - German Der Tod ist der Höhepunkt des Lebens, sagt man in Wien.
Die Trauer um den Verstorbenen war immer schon inszeniert für die Nachwelt. Aber individuelle Trauer hat auch immer schon einen Ort gebraucht, an dem man erinnern und gedenken kann.
Friedhöfe sind diese Orte der Erinnerung. Und sie sind Orte des Eingedenkens, denn wir werden uns auf ihnen bewusst, dass das Leben endlich ist.

Translation - German Manchmal stelle ich mir vor, ich wäre ein Ritter, und sehe all die, die damals das Flachland durchquerten : die Händler, die Soldaten, die Pilger, und die Herrscher. Alle konnten die Burg von sehr weitem sehen, und von der Burg konnte man sie überwachen.

As I was born in a Franco-German context and my horizon was widened since the very beginning, I always felt attracted to foreign cultures and languages. This is why I decided to become a translator.
I completed a Master's degree in professional translation - which focused on medical, financial, legal and technical translation - with a specialization in audiovisual translation one year later.
I have experience in subtitling documentaries and translating voice overs for ARTE channel and STUDIOCANAL and also adapted French versions for dubbing.
I was employed one and a half year by a web-marketing company in Germany where I translated websites for luxury hotels and did localization in addition to a job as a marketing assistant. This job enabled me to familiarize myself with different marketing strategies and to specialize as well in tourism, beauty and cosmetics.
Furthermore, I translate legal texts for the European Commission, as well as medical and technical texts.
All in all, I have 4 years of experience by now.
Important remark: both French and German are my mother tongues, so I can translate into both languages.
